We would like to introduce one of the smallest full nodes around - nimbleNODE.

Many people throughout the world are unable to participate in running a full node due to a lack of knowledge or resources. Furthermore, the space needed to run a full node is more than often 200GB+ and the syncing process itself can take months, ultimately costing the user time, money, and sanity.

nimbleNODEs are the most portable, affordable, and customizable way to run a full node from anywhere in the world. nimbleNODEs are lightweight, wi-fi and bluetooth-equipped devices that are not much bigger than a dime. This device provides an entry point into crypto without requiring any coding experience.

As nimbleNODEs are full nodes, these devices are also amongst the most secure hardware wallets in the entire world; you’re the only one who can ever access the device. Whether you need an alternative for cold storage or an option to send/receive crypto securely, nimbleNODE has got you covered!

The first release will include support for 7 different cryptocurrencies (listed below). We will be adding many more coins based on feedback and demand, and plan to support every single major blockchain.

While nimbleNODE makes use of commodity hardware like the Pi and Arduino, we will be working on our own customized chips soon, that will support a wide range of node use-cases.

To check out the device and/or pre-order, visit us on the nimbleNODE site:
https://nimblenode.io/

Access through mobile (Android/iOS):
With nimbleNODE, ease of use and access is top priority. Control your nimbleNODE completely from your mobile phone in 3 simple steps.

1. Plug in the nimbleNODE device with the included power adapter
2. Download the nimbleNODE app from App Store or Google Play Store
3. Open the app and go through the onboarding screen to enable bluetooth and wifi

After successful connection, you’ll be able to:

- Monitor your node status
- Send/receive your coins
- Send commands to the device (RPC)
- Use nimbleNODE as a cold wallet (similar to ledger)

The app will feel the same as any normal crypto wallet would, the only difference is your transactions would be routed through your nimbleNODE instead of a random full node somewhere else.

Key Highlights:
- Controllable through a single mobile application (Android/iOS)
- Pre-synced pruned blockchain of your choice (Next release will include option of multiple chains on one device)
- Ability to track coin balance as well as send/receive crypto
- Small, lightweight, and easy to bring with you anywhere
- Rolling updates to allow for chain updates
- Reduced likelihood of reindex (In case of abrupt unplugging, updating with indexing configurations, power outages, etc.)

If pre-syncing doesn’t sit well with you, we provide the option to sync down from scratch.

Included in the box:
- nimbleNODE device
- USB 5 Volt power adapter
- 16 GB SD-Card for expandable storage (next release will include miniature SSD to allow non-pruned chains)

Technical Specs:
- Dimensions: 1” Width x 2.1” Height
- Weight: 11.8 grams
- Capabilities: Bluetooth, Wireless
- ARMv6 Chip

Currencies Supported:
- Bithereum
- Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Bitcoin Cash
- Bitcoin SV
- Bitcoin Gold
- Binance Chain

This is awesone guys. This will help secure the network and also provide incentive to do so with the PoU system. Keep up the good work👍👍👍

Amazingly, I look forward to working with this new device to solve many problems related to the full node in terms of the size of the devices and time also

I have already launched 10 BTH nodes. I want to launch 10 more using Nimbles... in future. Very good project + passive income every week.

I'm already running a few nodes and one of them is a Pi. I have already pre-ordered one nimble to try it. I think this one is a great idea!

Nimble node sounds cute for me..Very efficient in power consumption by not using the power of GPU this is awesome..

This would definitely increase adoption due to its simplicity. You don't need to be tech savvy to run a node anymore. Great step towards increasing decentralisation  Grin

Awesome! What better way to keep track of all those nodes through an easy to use mobile app?

Keep us posted on your experience!

Are this device only to run a node? They have to be plugged in 24/7 and how is made the connection between mobile phone and nimble node? Via Bluetooth or wireless?

Yes, these devices are to run a node of a chain of your choice; future versions will allow the option to run multiple chains' nodes on one device. With the pairing of the mobile app, the device doubles as a secure hardware wallet that allows sending/receiving of your crypto via your phone.

nimbleNODEs first connect to your phone through bluetooth, then you enable your nimbleNODE to access your wifi through the app. It's recommended to keep your device plugged in 24/7, which consumes a negligible amount of electricity. However, whether it's shut down, unplugged, the wifi resets, or there's a power outage, the device won't require a reindex in order to be up to date, saving the user hours of their time.
