Why not ? Creating a crypto-currency based on an existing asset is simply the creation of a stable token whose rate will be supported by the Chinese yuan and that's it. This is a very good move from a given country. With this step, it shows that it recognizes crypto-currency as a digital asset and gives legalization to all operations with it, and I consider this to be a good impetus for the market as a whole.
