He hasn’t paid me back or contacted me on simpleX or on forum, so it’s clear he’s a scammer.

We should leave him negative trust to prevent him from using his account to scam others.
I am leaving negative feedback on the user as they seem not come around to respond/resolve the accusation. OP, I suggest you also create a type 2 flag or type 3 flag, and we shall support it.

I also wanted to ask if you have tried to get in touch with paid2 using his email address for more details about bchannel in case he has any? He seems to be offline in the forum.

OP, I suggest you also create a type 2 flag or type 3 flag, and we shall support it.

The opening post has some information proving that Trêvoid was talking to bchannel.
Trêvoid said they 'd rather keep the transaction amount secret, but if they wanted to create a flag, they 'd need to provide some more info, like: (a) transaction details, (b) deal details, (c) more specific screenshots about the transactions.
It's not mandatory to include these details to create the flag, but it's important to be as detailed as possible for other users to support (or not support) the flag.

I will always support exposing and tagging scammers

Update:

Scammer user came online today on SimpleX @bchannel and finally saw my messages but did not respond. Interestingly, another user also came online on the Bisq Light Client Initiative group named @belamorchannel.

How come today both users become online Smiley

This other user might be his alternate account, as this thread has definitely ruined his reputation. He will likely look for another name to scam new people.

You should not do any direct financial transactions with members without escrow. There are many prominent names here that may offer you assistance, even for free or for a small fee.. So once again, don’t rush and don’t trust blindly.

Fine by me, but I 've no idea about the others who will need to support or oppose to the flag.

What do you mean? They simply opened up their SimpleX app. The channels weren't deleted, but perhaps they will delete them. The usernames look similar, so I reckon it's the same user.

Hi, the same user has come online again, which makes me believe they might be trying to target more people for scams. I have already posted an alert message in the group chat, and I hope no one falls into their trap or gets scammed.

Yes, that's a good approach, although I suppose it won't solve your issue, it will definitely help future users. And, as I said above, the usernames seem similar. Did you try to find references in the channel where @belamorchannel username is used, to see whether there is a connection between the account names? For example, it could be something like @belamorchannel referring to the bot that @bchannel has developed etc.

No, I didn’t because this user disappeared after the exch gone. He seemed to freak out.

What I noticed is that their writing styles are similar, and both users were online today.

He is a confirmed scammer, and I am planning to initiate a campaign to expose his personal information (doxx, not sure is it allowed in bitcointalk), similar to what was done to Animesh Roy by eXch.

Please take a look at this thread first: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Read it carefully, it mentions things like this that can be helpful:

Q: What about deleting DOXes?
A: Nope, we don't delete them either as long as they comply with the following rules:

<...>
1. Personal information must be confined to the new "investigations" board (under Scam Accusations), which is only visible to Members and above. Personal information is defined as anything which links a user's online identity (username, email, etc.) to their meatspace identity, excluding links that the person himself has posted. It is not allowed to post somebody's personal information in any other public place, including in signatures.
2. It is not allowed to post someone's dox if it is especially obvious that you're just using the dox as a weapon. For example, if there are no remotely-plausible trade complaints, then the person can't be a scammer, and their dox should not be posted.
3. As before, anything that the legacy insecure government/banking system requires to be secret is not allowed anywhere. This includes social security numbers, credit card numbers, and certain account numbers.
<...>

Why aren't they deleted? Because such doxing is just compiling information about a user already available publicly, often via search engines.

I can give you access to https://cryptofraudexpose.org/ so add a page with all the evidence about this scammer. One more page, it won't bother.

I should make an update there, because I want to send another round of requests for deletion and processing of scam domains.

Sorry for the late reply, at the beginning of May I had a motorcycle accident, and I've been going through physical problems ever since that have kept me off the networks for a while.

I confirm that I do not offer escrow services, nor do I intend to do so.

I'm sorry for your losses Trevoid, I have to admit I'm surprised to see that bchannel is a bad person, during our past contacts he has always been cordial, even if we haven't really had any important financial exchanges. For ten days or so, I organized a "free bonus based" signature campaign for his bot, and he sent me funds to pay the best posters, without any problem at that time. We used to talk briefly on SimpleX, but I don't have any contact with him now, so unfortunately I can't help you contact him nor find him.

I hope you recover quickly @paid2 sorry to hear about what happened.

Unfortunately, once someone is a scammer, it's hard to expect any change.

Despite everything, I believe he’s still active on SimpleX chat. He has seen my message but hasn’t responded, which says a lot. It’s disappointing, but it also reminds me to stay cautious and vigilant moving forward.
