No one can provide exact and correct answers to your questions because things will always be different for different people. To become a blockchain developer, you must be a developer first because it's important to be a programmer if you want to become a developer in any programming language.

When you ask how long it is going to take and whether 6 hours a day is enough for it or not, I would say that it depends on what you currently do and also what you like in general. You can't become a gamer if you hate playing games. Similarly, you can't become a blockchain developer if you don't have a general interest in the field and in technology as well.

It also depends on how sharp you are. Some people might learn a thing within a day, but for some, it might take them a week.

How long does it take to become a blockchain developer with no experience if you sit and study 6 hours a day? How hard is it to find a job and what is better to choose rust or solidity?

Takes years to get good. Takes months to be ok.  Give it a try, in the end, it's a life skill that will only do you good long run, even if you don't end up as a blockchain developer.
It's all flashy now, and pay is good, but maybe it will be obsolete in the coming years. Why not try machine learning and AI?

You're talking about spending 4-6 hours daily to learn, with the focus on dedicating to it professionally, because that's what the OP asked.

But what if you have no coding skills, but want to learn the basics (being able to read the code) not to dedicate yourself to it professionally but out of pure curiosity? it could be enough, for example, one hour a day during one year? and where should one look for such training (if something similar exists)?

It really depends on the person's learning capabilities either slow, normal and fast learner have different time it will take for them to become a blockchain developer. Anyway, I don't have any equation or an estimate time it will take for each person base on the capability of each them. If a person isn't a fast learner and even if that person spends 4-6 hours a day to learn is that it won't be the same as the others who learns fast.

Becoming a developer?
You can start any time. Right now, even. You can learn to code at the same time. Although at this low level nobody will hire you or be impressed by your skill but you can call yourself a developer.

The problem is that most people never actually start.

Studying is one thing, understanding what you’re studying is another. Now, I’m not a programmer and as such, I can’t give you some outline in days or months and what courses you would take to become a programmer but, the first part is always having to start.
Then you’ve got to understand that, there is a level of understanding to everyone. If you’ve got good comprehension skills, you wouldn’t swiftly wrap your learning journey but if you’re not, you probably would just keep learning and learning. Good for you to know that, learning never stops so, it wouldn’t be a bad thing either.

Depends on how well you can assimilate, people learn, and understand in different way. No time factor, it is all about consistency, determination and willingness.

Truly if you set your mind on something, you are definitely going to do better on that, with constant practice.

It depends on your background, but with 6 hours a day, you could gain a solid foundation in 6-12 months. Start with Solidity for smart contracts (popular in Ethereum) and learn Rust if you're interested in Solana or Polkadot. Job opportunities are growing, but focus on building projects to showcase your skills
It would even take more for a person without the background coming from humanities.

And if the person has a 9 -5, there is no way to study for 6 hours a day. It is going to be less and it will take up to 24 months to master the basics.

And it is going to be hard, when there is no experience. And when you have reached a point where you feel competent, the next obstacle is finding a job. With a good portfolio, it will take a while because it is a saturated job market. Positions are very competitive.

As for me this is a rhetorical question because in brain acquisition or brain capturing is depends on the learner's cognitive ability and not the hours, weeks and months to learn. How fast/good is he understand things when teaching and learning takes place. And you have to know the category of student you belong to. In a class we have slow learning, Average learners and fast learners. Which of the categories do you belong to? If you are a fast learner then you cognitive domain good but you have to be serious about your studies to learn faster. Like when I learned Computer Engineering as an informal study, I paid for 6 months for the full package to be completed but I used 2 weeks to understand 99% of the things and use the remaining months to work in the company and learn more. And as of then it was Pentium 4 processor and Windows x were the main computer OS that were existing. So as I said it is all about your seriousness and understanding will determine your days to learn.
