I'm currently managing my companies IT inventory with a few excel spreadsheets - can anyone recommend anything better?

This account was hacked & possibly sold during the period of August 1st and October 24th 2017.
Anything done or said in this period wasnt me.
Many thanks to Cyrus for his help restoring access to my account.

I would stick with excel its pretty good software and I think most companies use it because of its flexibility.

What's your budget?  How many SKUs in your product catalog?  What kinds of needs do you have (i.e. watermarking, segregating inventory, product classes, etc)?  How many different inventory locations?  What kinds of inventory locations (DC, vendors, manufacturers, drop shippers, stores)?  What kinds of systems will need access to your inventory picture?  Does the inventory system need to take care of the financials as well?  Do you tie into an order management system?  What about integration with a WMS?

I've used spiceworks in the past... It auto-discovers most of your network's resources

There is no better spreadsheet than one customized by an Excel Pro,
but for the rest of us, there's InFlow.
I'm in the IT space as well as inventory and resale surplus IT gear.
After defaulting to Excel a few times I found InFlow.
Not perfect but it take a look...

There is a lifetime free version up to 100 items which may be all
most will ever need. Has PO and reporting forms too.

For asset management; snipe-it

for datacenter documentation; netbox

for network scanning software; lansweeper/pdq inventory

Take your pick.
