I don't think so because the plan of ethereum 2.0 can be changed anytime like when vitalik was giving an opinion if the ethereum and bcash can be merged into the one ecosystem to fix the scalability issue in ethereum platforms.
That's not work and the 2.0 roadmap can be changed anytime. that needs a lot of research.
But at least it gives a little insight for us.

Ethereum is indeed a proven and good altcoin so that the future is always clear even though it sometimes experiences price declines but when market conditions improve, ethereum always has a good increase, so I myself have no doubt that ethereum will have a beautiful future.

i honestly don't see anything exciting in the "future" of etheruem. the only thing exciting was in the past and in the idea itself. the idea of having a platform where developers could create complicated smart contracts in a decentralized way.
then they went ahead and made that platform centralized and full of bugs and with no scalability. the years haven't been kind to the project either with the bugs and the roll back that made it not immutable anymore.

there is no certainty when ethereum 2.0 will be released. even Vitalik is still not sure when ethereum 2.0 will be released.. he even thought of using the bitcoincash blockchain to overcome the scalability problem. and if this is the choice they will make, I think there will be many people who are disappointed. how could a platform be independent, but not be able to solve its own problems.

so I think ethereum is currently in a difficult time, and if this possibility is true, there is no good future for ethereum. they will be replaced by other platforms that are much better.

Im an Ethereum fan so it was a positive development to me. but my question still the same if they want to push these upgrade further or it just remain on the paper. like the previous plan upgrade, im not critical about it but lets wait and see if Ethereum Develpment 2.0 will be implemented.

Buterin promised ETH 2.0 and I believe this update would change a lot of things. It will make ETH cheaper, transactions faster and it will cause a price boost, because mining rewards are going to be reduced by release of this update.
And staking will be activated so those who have accumulated a lot of Ethereum during the price of $80 or lower will be taking the shot. This is a worth to wait update for Ethereum.

I'm waiting for it and it looks like many are starting to get annoyed with the update because it seems to be slow.

so I think ethereum is currently in a difficult time, and if this possibility is true, there is no good future for ethereum. they will be replaced by other platforms that are much better.
Ethereum is as is altcoin and as a platform, yes there's Binance where some projects already used its platform.

I am also excited for eth both as a project and investment and i am sure all eth investors, holders and supporters will not be disappointed, personally im expecting parabolic bull run for eth in 2020 and my conservative target pereth 2.5k, i may be wrong in the end but im bullish about eth and that is the reason why im trying to accumulate more and more eth everytime i can.

I think enough people are building on Ethereum to be excited. I feel positive that it is is going to succeed. Once the new adoption to Casper happens then we will definitely experience scalability that we've all been waiting for.

I think we don't need to read any article to know that about the future of Ethereum, we already believe in it and that is the reason we are here on this very forum coz we believe that the future of the crypto currencies is very bright and in that list, Ethereum is at the top.

Ethereum platform really has a lot of problems. However, I think that all these problems will be resolved in the future. I am a fan of Ethereum and I believe that in the future the king of altcoins will become better.

I doubt that will happen. what if in the future ethereum 2.0 was never released. doesn't this make ethereum a bad platform. it seems that scalability is a very difficult problem to be solved by ethereum developers. forget about POS, no problem in the future ethereum still uses the POW system. the important thing is that ethereum must solve what is the core problem at the moment.

I think the future of ethereum is also undoubtedly to provide a better price in the future, because now the development of ethereum prices is also increasing, so I am sure the future of ethereum will also provide better value

I have no doubt about the possibility of ethereum to regain back its glory and for it to still be at the verge of competing closely with bitcoin. If Vitalik and his Co-team mates can provide the expected updates, irrespective of which means it is achieved, it will go a long way to get meaningful co!munity approval and its resultant growth
