Hi,

Sorry for the request in English,

I intend to visit Bali medium-long term, and it was suggested that I get an invite from an Indonesian national for a social visa, it's not necessary but makes the visa process go through more smoothly apparently.

Please reach out to me via PM if anyone is residing in Bali or has a business there, and would be willing to send an invitational letter to me.

All the Best

For further disclosure, this is a pretty standard letter of invite required by the Indonesian consulate for ALL social visa applications.

Any individual residing in Bali can send this letter for us (it's for me and my gf). Since the individual technically is "vouching" for our good conduct in Bali, I'm happy to make a payment to him in ETH or any other cryptocurrency after the application goes through. Thanks.

What purpose?
When using Social Visa for visits to Indonesia that's Visa are forbidden for doing any business activity.
So, we have a responsibility here.

I suggest you use a third-party service: https://www.cekindo.com/services/social-visa-indonesia

The purpose is living there for about a year to see if a permanent move can be feasible,

if I really like the atmosphere, infrastructure etc. I intend to start a business partnership there, but at least not until I spend about 6 months in and around Bali getting really acclimatized to the bureaucracy, culture, etc. So it will be purely touristic, let me know if you are interested...

Third party services charge like 20 USD / head, which to me seems like a way to just make some extra cash off visitors, as it is literally a very simple standard letter + address of the inviter...

Maybe you can read this article: https://wagefreedom.com/a-visa-for-long-stays-in-bali-indonesia-what-you-need-to-know/

I have some friends and family in Bali and I already ask them about this, and they reply to me "who's them and where they come from?"
FYI, for national security and the political reason at nowaday, Indonesian people must carefully before sending an invitation.

Thanks, I understand, if I can't find a reliable invite I will use one of these agencies like most people do.

That article is very helpful, and indeed most foreigners who live in Bali do it by constantly getting a new social visa every 6 months (via 1-2 days flight to Singapore), in fact that was the unanimous advice I got from the expat community there...
