I recently got a promo code on exmo.space for 0.3 BTC. I am new to bitcoin, and it says my account is frozen until I make a 0.02 BTC deposit. I need help getting an unfrozen account so that I can withdraw. I am willing to offer a bonus to a helper. Thanks! I have image proof of balance, but do not know how to post an image on here.

This is a scam (in case you don't know). If you deposit, your coins are gone.

Google it. You will see multiple cases like yours.

any site requires deposit to enable withdrawal is a scam site!
0.3 BTC is roughly worth $3000, do you really think people give bonus $3k that easy

I need help getting an unfrozen account so that I can withdraw. I am willing to offer a bonus to a helper. Thanks! I have image proof of balance, but do not know how to post an image on here.
this is either OP is innocent and gullible, not knowing so many sites like those out there
or he is trying to get newbies to fall into this scam site Angry Lips sealed

Hi all,
Thanks for the replies. It's unfortunate but at least we didn't lose anything Smiley
When I searched up the site online I didn't find anything negative about it but I'm glad I consulted y'all first.

And most likely didn't find anything positive either. Don't just go around depositing money in a random website. Actually, don't go around ASKING people for money so you can risk it in a random website. Like, seriously...

this is literary the oldest trick in the book but modified to work digitally and with bitcoin.

basically they call you up and say something like "you have won something" out of nowhere. then play on your greed to believe their lies. as the person is hooked, they bring up the money. in traditional method at least it make sense because they use excuses such as "shipping fees" and things like that. in these new ways they don't even use any excuses they just plain ask for money for no reason!

It is good that you asked before sending any money or information.
Ask them to deduct this amount from your account and withdraw the remainder.
This method of scam has become obsolete and anyone can be fooled by it.

A promo code that has 0.3 BTC? * $10,800 = $3,240.

It's too good to be true mate. Too much for free money and obviously a scam for asking you to deposit first.

When I searched up the site online I didn't find anything negative about it but I'm glad I consulted y'all first.
It is because the site is newly created --> https://www.whois.com/whois/exmo.space

so there's not enough review about it.

<...>
Well the reference site (exmo.space) seems to be a recently created domain that is a rip-off cross between:

-   Exmo.com (exchange that has been around for some years). -> took the name.
-   https://cryptomate.co.uk (small UK exchange apparently) -> cloned layout and content.

Essentially, it seems like a scam site per-se. The operative explained in the OP only builds on top, leaving not much chance for it being anything else…

Hihi, they are actually running out of keywords, I posted above the link with the scam accusation, they have around 30-40 websites (that people have reported) and about one-two popping up each day.

in traditional method at least it make sense because they use excuses such as "shipping fees" and things like that. in these new ways they don't even use any excuses they just plain ask for money for no reason!

Actually, I would consider this scam a bit more elaborate and even more tempting for the usual user.

It goes with somebody asking for help, saying that he can't withdraw the balance from a website that he has to be verified and you do it and you can have a share of the profit and send him the rest.

What I find interesting is that the victim usually is afraid the guy will scam him, but because he is so focused on the one with the funds that tends to ignore that the website is actually the scam. Also, there is also the really bad part, because the scammers tempt the user to get all the money and then send it, a lot fall for this trap because they think they have just found an opportunity to scam themselves a noob and hold the entire stash.
