You don't have to mix business and pleasure, you need to separate the two when needed. Your aim is to make money out of the situation, if it's very obvious that the team in question can beat your favourite team then there is no reason betting against them because you'll lose the bet and that's not what you want. Keep emotions aside and do the business.

Right, dont' waste our money if we think our favourite club is not play good. I think bet or not bet, we still can support our favourite team. It is better than suffer in 2 things, our fav club lose and our money gone. Maybe with totally support them although they lose without pick they on bet already good because some fans usually leave their fav team when the team not play good anymore.

I have to be very frank and blunt on this issue, supporting another team that's not your favorite regardless how strong it might be is not that easy to do.  When you see your friends that do that, I think you shouldn't consider their actions as stupidity but strength. I can't imagine myself supporting another team because I know my team is on the weaker end, I might rather stand a chance of losing the money or not participating at all but to support an opposition team all in the name of looking for money.

I have been in a situation like this in the past and just like your friend I lost a very huge sum of money that was meant for something important.  We must definitely regret but then, life goes on as its worth it either way.

What you have stated is not the reality with the common men and women. People support their own country, but they will think twice before placing a bet. Here if one is going based on his favorite team and not on other information then he is not meant to be a gambler.

From my view we can support our team, but when it comes to odd selection we need to do the proper analysis and pick the odd that has got increased winning probability.

Actually in sports betting, there are a lot of games to choose from, even if you are just focus in one league and has only limited games but if you are not sure, you should have the discipline to pass, that will determine that you are matured enough and you how to control your emotion.

Yep,,,that's the perfect mind setup and for successful betting. Every gambler should follow this way to make handsome profits. When its a matter of losing funds then its not gonna be wise decision to take risks for emotions. In this case following the way of making profits is always should get higher priority rather than being emotional for favorite team. Maybe sometime its hard to support opposite team for making money but that's a different taste .

In this case, I shouldn't let my emotion to take over. It's the worst thing that most gamblers does until now, resulted into losses. Gambling is about money and I wouldn't bet on a club where in the first place I know they have no chance. Moral support would be the best thing to do since it's your own club. ^ Good thing there are more people like this. Moral support whether it will lose or win is a great attitude that you had shown a solid and die-hard fan to them. Crazy as it would seem, I have been guilty of playing this trick, I sometimes worry so much about my team not winning a game so I indeed bet against my preferred team (usually a small or average bet that could bring quite a huge profit of at least x20 odds). It's just like me hedging my bet with what would make me happy. At least I wouldn't mind loosing a few bucks to see my team win a very important match, but sometimes even tough I win my bet, it hurts that my team lost and the financial gain doesn't make up for how I truly feel, as it would have been the case if I placed a bet on Liverpool to qualify after my team winning in Nou Camp during last season's UCL quarter finals.

They will not follow their undying support with the teams that they've loved since they are here to gamble and wanted to win. Perhaps, they are smart to see the situations. When they see which team is stronger than the other team, they will choose it regardless that team is their favorite or not. But they still give support to their teams.

It happens to my friends in the soccer game. If they see their favorite team doesn't have a chance to win, they will change their bet to the opposite. But sometimes, they don't place any bets, and they don't watch the match too because that will be sad to see their favorite teams will lose at the end of the game.

Yes. I do it for my favorite team. I'm not making or losing a fortune with sports betting so I bet the way I want.
Though betting on the opposing team of your favorite team is also a good strategy to keep you happy. i.e. if you win the bet, you'll have money even though your favorite team loses. And if your favorite team wins, you'll be happy even if you lose your money. But mostly, I think my favorite team are always capable to win against any teams.

That is the wrong thing to do. I dont understand if you are posting this for the sake of posting, because if someone would take your words for granted they would likely go to the wrong methods of gambling which is relying on emotions. If you bet on your favorite team then you will lose at least 50% of the time - just like a random coin toss. Its not the best team and neither would they remain the best. Many small matches are also fixed to trap people like you, where the win or loss would not matter but the gamblers will lose because the underdog will win.

All these things need to be kept in mind, sports betting is not so easy.

It's never been easy because the pressure is in your hands. It is also difficult to get passed through that emotions and betting against the majority will increase the pressure further. But if you gonna ask me, I will choose what I want even though it is against everyone else's bet. You need to learn how to deal differently those two things are. Like, do your best as a fan of your fave club but as a gambler, you can wish your inner self that the other team will win.
