How confident are developers that Ethereum 2.0 will be launching in 2.0?

For a long time now we have been hearing a ton of different things when it comes to the launch of Ethereum 2.0. There has been a huge amount of speculation and delay along the way, but now it seems that developers are 95% confident that Ethereum 2.0 will launch in July.

We are all painfully aware that 95% is not 100%. So, do you think that Ethereum 2.0 will be launched in July or, do you think this is just another false alarm?

I think July is too early to aspect it. They may introduce it to the developers to test it before actually letting regular users shift to it. The event would also bring a boost in the price of ethereum as the new chain would reward the holder with Casper proof of stake. The whole development would be in three phases and we might need to swap our coins.

Im still thinking about if this opinion is coming from justin drake and we must waiting for another opinion from the ethereum 2.0 core developers team to support the statement that created by justin. As far as i can see if vitalik doesn't say anything about when ethereum 2.0 will launch. The beacon chain is still on the testnet mode and im feeling doubt about that consider about in the last hardfork and ethereum developers has cancelled iceage update that will lead to bring another delay to the serenity update. Im not confident with the statement that already made by justin and im still waiting for the more confirmation.

I think in july only initial model will be launched which itself will be a massive achievement and further development and upgrades will continue down the road but i think that eth is on the right path and big things are coming our way this year and the next, so just hold tight.

Vitalik has big plans for ETH. It's not just about the beginning of ETH 2.0. If you have seen the roadmap of ETH as presented by Vitalik, you will know that Beacon chain is just the beginning of a whole new level of experience that users are going to get in coming years!

Such big changes, require great level of planning a well as patience. Vitalik is planning to start on the date of ETH's fifth anniversary, 30 July 2020. Let's hope for the best insted of criticizing!

Yes and very right, we should all be supporting Vitalik and Eth network as it is the revolutionary project and we all know that major tokenizations, dapps and DeFi projects will be based on ethereum network so it will be great if ethereum becomes a highly efficient network and get rid of all issues that are hindering its progress.

Let's just hope for the best and if they have given that timeframe and specific on that month, let's be positive with what they have been telling us.

I don't think that it's just another false alarm, if they have told that they will be making it into reality and this is a big update for Ethereum which has been expected by the community, let us be optimistic with their plans and words.
