I never drew an equivalence for HOW bad they are. You missed the difference between the statements "both are bad" and "both are equally bad". I acknowledged that right now today china is doing things that are worse than what the present day american government is doing.
You also keep using that same bad (analogy?). Of course I'm not qualified to teach people how to use a machine I've never seen.
I have not made excuses for any of these awful things. You are the only one in this thread making excuses for terrible things. Shame on you.
You can say anything you want about China but don't try to force people into doing things that will hurt Chinese people as well as their own pocket. Lebron can do a lot more with his money here in the US to help oppressed people than he could by getting himself censored in China and losing tons of money. Lebron talking shit about china would certainly reduce morale in China. If you cared about chinese people, you'd understand that.
Quantification is not a requirement. You literally made an equivalence by the dictionary definition. Oh look, more "NO U!!!1" arguments... that's a new one. Again, you are ignoring the fact that China is meddling in the domestic affairs of the USA, but all you can do is cry about how its not fair we criticize them. You are brain dead. I do care about the Chinese people, and I am willing to bet I have had far more contact with Chinese than you have. I care enough about them to advocate for the end of the CCP while you just make excuses for it.
Quantification is not a requirement for an equivalence but it would be required to make the one I drew be a FALSE equivalence.
What domestic affairs are you talking about? I don't even subscribe to a "we have to meddle with them because they meddled with us pov". I don't think we should be messing with Syria, Iran, Russia, North Korea, or any of these countries. I'm a non-interventionist.
What would happen to the Chinese people if their government was destroyed? The government that brought them to where they are as .a country today? What would it be replaced with?
Heres an equivalency for you...you like to talk about how with all its faults, capitalism has raised so many people out of poverty, well , with all its faults, no government has raised people out of poverty at the rate of China's in the past 40 years.
Its a dumb bet that isn't contributing to the discussion but unless you've live in China, I'd doubt it. Most of the grad students in chemistry in America are Chinese so I spent 8 years of my life around mostly Chinese. I also taught classes where half of the students were Chinese. The bet is useless though because there are so many different types of Chinese people with different backgrounds and just like anywhere else, a lot of the wealthy, privileged people don't care about the poor and a lot of the poor don't have the opportunity to interact with the rest of the world.
You aren't thinking about all the people who won't be able to see anymore nba or have nike because those companies spoke out against china. You want china to be like north korea.
