Posting this here as there doesn't seem to be a thread for privacy/security - if Mods feel it should be in a different section then please feel free to move it there.
It came to my attention today that PIA VPN have sold out to Kape Technologies, who are (in)famous for adding malware/adware/spyware to their software as well as selling user data to third parties. I myself am/was a user of PIA for several years but as of today am no longer - I have cancelled my subscription along with many thousands of other concerned customers. On a side note, a certain Mark Karpeles also gets a mention in some of the articles as he was CTO at some point also - pretty much sums the whole thing up eh?
Shame. I liked PIA.
Anyone who uses PIA would be wise to cancel their subscription & move to another, more safer VPN immediately!!
