Hi all Smiley

I need your help with a possible scam :/
I'm still pretty new in crypto...maybe since 6 month....and have not yet the know how to appreciate the situation right

Ive paticipated the "New USDT airdrop"

Meanwhile I received the 2nd payment. You can see all payments live in the payment channel and someone wrote me and asked if it's legit and if I received the tokens.
5 minutes later the next one asked me and asked if he can see the balance. Then he asked for my walletadress or the contract of the sending a dress to check it on etherscan causee for him it seemed to be a scam coin.
I gave him the contractadress and he sent me that back...

And indeed...with a few clicks on contract and contractcreator a came to that fishing entry's too.
The first question over all is of course can there anything happen just by holding that tokens?
And what do you think about it? Are that fake tokens and what is the best I should do in that case?
2h later I received a third payment but didn't start a withdrawal?! First I thought maybe there's to much work and they edited it twice. It also came from two different adresses.

That ist the contract:

Those telegram bots are likely to be scam, they will allow you to withdraw for few times to attract you and when you're too determined to earn more with them and you start bringing money or investing to them, they will lock the withdrawals.

The wallet contains 100 USDT so do you think they will be able to sustain if many referrals come in to them? no. Once, they've collected a lot from referrals, they will eventually be gone and run with those money.

Just think of it, you refer people for what? thinking that they will earn? through how that bot earns those investors profit? it's a scam.

You are scammed. The USDT you got is not the real Tether[1]. Stop using that bot and report it to Telegram.

This a fake one I tried to check it in coingeko but there is no USDT token and it's obvious that it is a fake one of USDT.
How did you find them? do they just invite you directly on telegram?

You're wasting your time promoting them and you just encourage people to a scam offer or token better delete it if where you share it to avoid more people to be scam.

Simply compare the data for the fake token:
https://etherscan.io/token/0x3936eE7369e9c278A78a44dE7b272dEB97bc6253#tokenAnalytics

against the real token:
https://etherscan.io/token/0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7#tokenAnalytics

Contrast the overview (price, market cap, holders, transfers) , profiles summary (reputation and social channels, website, etc.) and token analytics. The token you’ve received is worthless, and you need to evaluate what information you provided in order to get it. It could also be a stepping stone to scamming you by providing some sort of ulterior "unbeatable offer".

Most airdrops are likely to be scam as these projects only run airdrops to gain followers or get awareness, some airdrops are real though. I will suggest you follow up the project on their social media sites to get more information.

The USDT you will be receiving is of no use as it is fake tokens of USDT. You can check the same by going to CMC and checking the contract address of USDT tokens:
https://ethplorer.io/address/0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7

The USDT transactions with the above contract address are only validate. The group are people managing this telegram channel are making us believe that we are actually getting funds by sending fake currency. It is good to stay away from this. Since the coins you received are of no value they are not asking for any initial deposit.

Hey Smiley
Thanks a lot for your answers Smiley I'm a little bit busy atm but took the time to report that fucker!!!
First of all I have to say there are also 100% legit bots and promos and I already received BCH, LTC doge or other payments.
But....what I've learned from the first day is crypto means scam, scam, more scam, scam where you not expect scam and where you can expect it, the scamers already fkn around to make litle babyscamers so you are just surrounded and they are growing up to ultra highlevel corleonescamper faking complete projets with social media and Web management....wtf....such a poor poor world....
I love the idea of cryptocurency but what I've already seen is just sick....but ok...back to topic ^^

I'm not sure where I've found the bot. Must be in an adclickbot. And it's a kind of tricky cause the free token referrel bot is just to trick the people to his usdt tokensale. He's collecting deposits on the deposit wallet, send it to the next wallet where he's also cellecting and send it again to the next and next and next wallet.....Ill Post the mail I've sent to telgram in the text post allone. Maybe a mod want to copy it to the right thread

0xc48d87C0276921842A832151918d25729573757d

Here he collects the payments and send a bigger amount to his next wallet.

0xfD125a3F342887DCACB3C37c023c834aA9D93900

Here he also receive payments from other scam and send the money again to another wallet which is already marked als phishing and scamwallet.

Please block him as soon as possible

the bot is a scam, the airdrop is just a clone of the real usdt, they make the fake bot just to attract members to join their channel and group, so that if there are many they can sell the channel.

Since you are new to crypto I will tell you two things, remember them if you want.

1. Nobody is going to give you free money just like that.
You are not getting free money on the street and you will not get any in crypto either. There is always a catch. There are some bots and faucets where you can get a few cents if you are lucky but that is about it.

2. Well known coins like Tether or Ethereum will rarely organize airdrops because they don't need to. They are already well established projects, everyone knows about them and they don't need to promote their service like that. Airdrops are usually conducted by new coins and tokens.

There are of course exceptions to this. Stellar for example had a big $50 airdrop that was heavily promoted everywhere together with blockchain. But remember what I said above! There is usually a catch!
You could apply and receive the $50 airdrop but you would have to go through a full KYC and hand over identity information. In other words you are selling them your identity for $50.

Don't do bot airdrops at all. 90% of the bot, referral airdrops are a scam. You may see some Airdrops like, to celebrate ETH growth/ETH 2.0/ XRP listings, if you send us 2 ETH, you will get 5 ETH instantly! You may even see some people are giving proofs of huge profits, some are giving screenshot by having thousands of Ethereum. All attempts are scams. When you do an airdrop, search the project name, visit their website and ask them through the telegram chat. If they ensure you about ongoing Airdrops, do that. Otherwise, all are scams.

Absolutely right what you both said.
My fist contact with crypto ever was with coinbase when a big referrelwave rolled through all casinoforums Cheesy I looked what that is and worked through coinbase and the lessons and in the end I was really flashed and just could believe it, that I really had 30-40€ for nothing....Just for free...Cheesy Like you said usually nobody gives you money for free Cheesy
I was fixed, let Google run hot and hoter and jumped in the crypto world Cheesy
My next airdrop was from blockchain...the 50$ stellar airdrop and flashed again.....but...it's always bad to get the best things first Cheesy
Until now made hundreds of airdrop's....After some months telegram told me I have reached the maximum of chat's Cheesy and hell...that's a lot Cheesy : and in all the time a maybe received 20 or 25 tokens....All together less worth than the blockchain stellar airdropd Cheesy
I think the best airdropd since a long time and for a long time ist that mega stellar airdrop from keybase with monthly distribution von the next 2 years if I remember right Cheesy

@airdrop_usdtbot
@ChannelUSDT
@Withdraw_usdt

Report that to Telegram for them to tag that bot channel as scammed.

Unfortunately, they can't just delete that bot (I don't know the reason why they can't) but instead, they will put a noticed that the bot is reported as a scam so in case a new user will encounter their channel, they will see the noticed.

How to understand a real bot or a scammer?

Analyzed the information. If it's too good to be true then likely it's a scam.

Or just simply use our common sense.

What do the scammers get out of this though? Someone please explain to me how a scammer will profit by sending "fake" tokens or tokens without a use. How do they benefit if they have not asked you for anything. Yes if they ask for a "fee" or your privatekey they can steal like that but what if they dont?

How to understand a real bot or a scammer?

When they offer you money simply by registering or by just joining, while it is applicable in bounties but you'll need to do it in their provided rules and timeline, you'll need to promote then in a month or more. Airdrops are free that we should not make it too serious if they pay or not so better research if it came from real website, they have ongoing promo that makes them provide airdrop. If they offer amounts without you working for it then it's really a scam. Better join in bounties, study market to start in trading and always check the project reviews and backgrounds.

well, one experience that is meaningful isn't it?
btw , did u just got scammed for free or what ? i mean , did u lost something important ? like probably u give a private key to that shit bot.
if yes, well, just change ur wallet .
BTW, just think first by yourself before joined some airdrop.
did u think its posible ? i mean, did some big coins such as USDT/ETH/LTC given free money for nothing ?
did u believe that trully happen ?  in the economic system, what are the benefits of giving money for free?
or for another cases , if u see some airdrop based from big company , like bithumb, binance, huobi, okex, just check first on their official website to make it sure.
be care full buddy, scammers everywhere.

I would advise you not to join these bots as most of them are scam :)you should always make a background check of the project behind the bot. If the project looks suspicious do not join their airdrop, referal or whatever they are offering.
