How Important Is It To Create An Announcement Thread For New Startup?

Believe it or not, It's no longer a necessity to have a bitcointalk announcement thread. I feel this is so because 90% of the ann threads created between 2016-2018 have been long forgotten. The startups have gotten their funds and forgotten about it. See projects like Blox (previously Coindash), Storm, Mobilego, Effect.ai and a host of others. So I don't see it as a necessity since these threads will become ghostlands with no updates. But It's a good move if you would still create it. At least, the community can make a first impression about it and hear each other's opinions about the project's mission and relevancy in this already crowded space.

From my experience it is advisable to create announcement thread on this forum because your startup website shall receive instant google ranking.
You may not receive the needed attention from the community unless you apply some extra marketing techniques.

On the marketing side, it is essential for me, Bitcointalk is a very popular forum, people can see the information about the project and search engine will index the thread making it easy for would-be investors to know more about the project if past projects did not update their thread could be because they are now scam site, those stable coins that have a thread are still active here, if you are marketing your project, every place has a potential.

An Announcement thread is exactly what it is, not only would it give your project more exposure in Bitcointalk, it would also serve as a medium where you can communicate the latest events and news about your project to those in Bitcointalk and another thing is that it pops up when people Google about your project so it's not just about telling those in Bitcointalk about your project, it also enlightens those who wants to learn about your project from Google search engine.

doesn't really matter right now, nobody even cares about the ANN thread of the new startup project. they better focus on promoting the project first elsewhere. after tokensales is complete then create an ANN thread in this forum. Big projects like Bittorent don't even have ANN Threads here. even Binance (BNB) does not have their official thread on bitcointalk. so it doesn't matter whether the startup project has an ANN thread or not.

More exposre and awareness for other people that there will be an incoming project. If there are initial informations about the project that will be good since it has not to be fully projected. In addition it is good for as well to another initial investors to have some query with you with regards with the project.

it is important so that there will be record in the forum as to when your project were first introduced to the public and open for questions. don't follow the scam projects who only posted bounty threads, while they can erase all the details they are saying in telegram channels. Reddit will actually do but its best to do it here so people can quote what had been said here.

It is very important to provide the thread so interested investors can be aware of the project and they can invest. Other people who might want to join the bounty campaign for the project too might see the thread and join. Advert is very crucial for any new project

I think the main point can be only one - community communication support. It is very important for a project to be in touch with people who support it, people who believe in it, people who invest in it.

The constantly updated announcements branch reassures investors even in the most turbulent times.
Also, the announcements branch helps newcomers get acquainted with the project, find answers to their questions, and at the same time understand how the project support works.
