Thanks for opening this page. I would like to ask you to review a crowdsourcing call for funding of the Rod Run Platform using the the Mint Me tokens.

Rod Run

The Specialist-As-Service platform


Introduction

The platform provides to the consultants in various fields (doctors, lawyers, teachers and others) with instruments for:
  • Tele-consultations via Internet (along patent pending algorithm)
  • Reactive Scheduling system that adjust calendar upon sudden change and notify involved people dynamically (not existing on the market) for on site and internet consultations.
  • An innovative capability for the specialists to provide prepaid subscription plans for their customers.

In other, it works like "Uber" platform for specialists with highly demanded professional skills.

Revenue model

It is based on a specialists consumption, i.e. on a successfully conducted consultations.

The pricing is composed by:

  • number of video tele-consultation or text consultations. 1.00 - 5.00 euro.
  • number of video minutes spent on consultation. 0.01 - 0.05 euro.
  • booking for on site consultation. 0.2 - 1.00 euro.
  • A fee for prepaid plans. 0.25 - 2% of the plan.

Note. The costs varies as per market exposure and field type

Even in small market the one in Bulgaria (with population of 7mln people), this platform targets 75,000 specialists.

We plan to start targeting the young part segment of the above group as active users. At 10% success it will earn ~40,000 euro monthly.

Status

The product has developed-in first, second and third from the aforementioned features list. It has launched public beta (in pre-revenue phase) since early Oct, 2019. It is available at https://rod.run. Currently runs just in Bulgarian language. Note - the Chrome and Edge browsers could used for translation as you browse the SaaS.

First revenue income is expected about 3 months after completion of Phase #1, first dividends for the early investors are expected after completion of Phase #3.

Call for a crowd investment

I am Vladimir Moushkov, the founder of the platform and I am the sole developer of this platform. After 13 months of development, lots of trial, errors, some success - I find myself now struggling between work with partners, customers and actual development. I need an investment and/or help to be able to continue the product development into 4 phases (as described below). Once the platform is fully developed will represent an unique combination of tools for specialists that does not exists on the market, however this journey does not ends there as the most important challenge is to reveal these opportunities to the average specialist, ie change the mindset. The specialist remains to be entertained greatly in the story.  That is the biggest reason for me to seek for help.

Note! Funding happens using purchase of RodRun token available from the Mint Me platform. Any donation that happens using the Ok Pal platform will be aligned with these tokens. Find more information on the dedicated Telegram Channel.


Phases

Phase #1
Development of Calendar and Locally popularising the functionality

The goal is provide sufficient minimum value platform along with ~ 500 active users.
My anticipation is that this will required 3 developers, one QA and about and half year work after funding of required budget and setup of team. Lots of money will go for targeted ads on specialised sites, YouTube and Facebook.

Start: As soon as enough budget is gathered for the setup of team and its actual setup.

Budget: 250,000 euro

Expected completion May, 2020 - Sept. 2020

Phase #2
Development of the Syndicates feature

The Syndicates feature will allow one or more specialists to create groups and provide prepaid services of consultations to their clients as monthly or annual subscription. This has the potential to disrupt the Insurance business but even if it does not, it is reason for larger amount of specialists join to the platform.

This phase development is harder to predict but as there many details to be further worked on along with the existing subscribers. Still it should not take more than six months along the same development time, for about about the same time. There will be still budget for ads but lesser than the ones for Phase #1.

Start: Right after completion of Phase #1

Additional budget: 250,000 euro

Expected completion Dec, 2020 - May. 2021

Phase #3
Development of native apps for mobile platforms.

In this state we would have fully functional web app, however smother experience will require native applications for the iOS and Android platform. This will be achieved within 6 months help of the same team, graphic designer as a contractor, devices for testing on the apps.

Start: Right after completion of Phase #2

Additional budget: 300,0000 euro

Expected completion: Dec, 2021 - Jun. 2022

Phase #4
Expand into other countries.

While this state should start somewhen after completion of Phase #2. Its timeline will greatly depend on the funds and income available, partners to be found in different countries.

Most of the operation costs here will go for setup of local offices, localisation, legalisation and targeted ads.

Start: As soon as possible after completion of Phase #2

Additional budget: 2x 400,000 euro and/or parts of the gross profit

First results: June, 2022 - Nov, 2024

Expected completion: Continuously invest and expand, until take over the world!

Exclamation! The above estimations are subject to change. They may expand or condense, depending on challenges might appear, such as:
  • funding status
  • developer qualities
  • existing issues, for example more than anticipated details around the syndicate feature.

Plan for return of investment

There are 10,000,000 RodRun tokens are being issued over the next year using the MintMe platform. The current price of 1 Rod Run is 0,12 euro. Each RodRun token represents part of the dividends to be returned after reaching Phase #3.

The 25% of the operation profit will be emitted as dividends per token holders annually (in case there are at least 100 euro to be paid to a single investor).

Expectation for the operation profit at the end of Phase #3 is barely 5,000 euro monthly, as this is focusing on single market only. Lets still calculate how much return this will generate to investors.

If an investor holds 50,000 RodRuns that is 5% of the total investment. This means he will be paid annually:

12 * (5% of (25% of 5,000)) = 750 euro
This means yield return of investment barely 0,1875%. However do not forget that:
  • we target the world right way after Phase #2 - on Phase 4. And Phase #4 starts simultaneously with #3.
  • The example of yield is for market in country with population of just 7 mln. people.
  • Accessing bigger markets such as - Europe and Turkey, could grow the return of investment yield - from 0,1875% to 10,000% range within couple of years.

The Impact

Rod Run has capability of disruption of the insurance market of specialist-as-service tooling platform. The investment required is not small but it is expensive because of the software development and advertisement services costs. While the project has considerable history already, what remains will not be a short journey.

Everyone is invited to help - not just by purchasing of token or donating but also by brining any help like spreading the word to people would care (specialists!) or software development.

Risks & Challenges

While the base idea is not unique. There are many platforms for scheduling a doctor visit or  tele-consult to doctor via SaaS or Apps. The Rod Run platform stands for next generation, a general approach. It will not be bound to just health or law or anything else. It provides all in one - scheduling of tele-consultation and on-site consultations. It is a tool for providing paid subscription plans to specialists customers.

Note also that even though such SaaS service is copy able, the first able to achieve subscription plans will have huge benefit over competitors, as people will need to use the platform they has subscriptions on.

Like said above the biggest treat currently is to be able to tell the story to the specialists. That requires lots of devotion, time and money for adevertisiment.

Additionally each of the aforementioned phases reveals specific risks:

Phase #1

  • Not being able to finance the development and/or advertisement. If funds are not over the required minimum I will just return the investors money and continue the journey on myself
  • Fail to find quality developers to succeed in the project
  • Fail to properly advertise the campaign and/or gather lesser than anticipated specialists running on the platform.

Note! As aforementioned, if this phase fails - all of the funds (tokens) will be returned and I will continue the journey alone.

Phase #2
  • Not being able to crowd source this state and continue with the money of generated by investments by Phase #2. This will rather prolong this phase and increase risk of idea to be overtaken by bigger competitor.
  • Fail to tell the story of prepaid plans for consultations and/or market fail to take on such ventures. This is a bigger risk, as it is unexplored niche but the rewards are also bigger, as this could exponentially expand the specialists market as well reveals opportunity  for further income (percentage of the prepaid plans).


Phase #3

Virtually there are no risks in this phase. The expected outcome is retaining of the existing specialists, as well slightly expand their number.

Phase #4

  • We will need to acquire local partners provide them with financing and part of the profit to be able to localise and legalise the product, so it be properly running per country. A partner could fail to localise the platform and burn cash rather expand the market.


Other Ways You Can Help

While money would remove great amount lots of obstacles, the biggest help would be:
  • Software development of the platform's missing features. The platform is written in typescript, uses PostgreSQL and React. Anyone interested is invited to participate.
  • Helping with localisation of the product for other countries translation and legalisation.
  • Spreading the word by telling everyone would care!
