Config commands, how do they improve mining?

Hello, trying to set up my GPU config but i would really like to know exactly what the different commands does to the GPU and why they are needed to mine cryptocurrencys.

Could start with this one. What does it do? I've tried to google without finding answers. I'd really appreciate if people could give me other commands i could try aswell, and explain to me what they also do.

setx gpu_max_alloc_percent 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
