Not trying to speak for OP, but I have a Titan Gold that also HAD this issue. Key word is had. It’s contamination of some sort from the mint, likely copper contamination. In any case, I was able to remove these spots with hot water, baking soda, and aluminum foil. While this is may not be recommended from a numismatic POV, it did in fact work in mere seconds, just by soaking, nothing abrasive. Of course, the water could damage the hologram and thus I had to peel in order to safely restore the coin with this procedure.

Here is a picture of before and after my restoration: https://imgur.com/a/886zpjz

oh sweet jesus please never attempt to clean a gold coin unless you know what you're doing.  My fav example - https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/46renx/man_cleans_rare_coin_takes_244000_loss/

Grin Not trying to take over Dazed' thread, so happy to continue this convo via PM/elsewhere...last I will say is the difference in coloring/mirroring you see in the before/after photo is just lighting. I don't feel I ruined the coin in the least but I understand numis freaking out about it  Roll Eyes

My main point in writing this here is that the contamination is certainly not permanent as I've proved. Apologies Dazed for the digression!

Quite the salesman, aren't you.

If only you still had that "gold tit is sold".  I'd buy that. Grin

Hey brother, are you at liberty to say how much the Gold Titan sold for? I know it was flawed a bit, but we never see these for sale on here, wondering what the market is like.
