Hi there,
There are a lot of complains about the new merit and rank rules. I fully support these changes and i am sure this will have a postive effect on the quality of the forum.

For the ones complaining there i a simple solution (next to deliver quality posts to get your so desired merit); just buy a copper membership.

It's very easy to do:
Go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
You will see a short page with instructions.
You need to send 0.0020833btc to a bitcoin address.
After you have done this and the transaction has 1 confirmation you can refresh the page.
Select Copper Membership from the dropdown menu on the new page and you are done!

This will cost you a small amount of BTC and a couple of minutes. In return you will get:
Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)
Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds.
Under your name in the forum it will say  you have a copper membership.

Really, thank you.
Didn`t know that Cooper Member has same signature as Member. Then I don`t understand people who buy merit to upgrade rank

It's obvious they buy merit to rank up their account fast. Since, there are many newbie accounts created from time to time due to bounties and most of the low quality post are from newbies or low rank members that is why they implement the new system to prevent newbies from creating lots of accounts for bounties and wreck the forum.

You need to send 0.0020833btc to a bitcoin address.

With a BTC price of around 6700 today, it seems that that is less than 14 USD for a instant raking-up if I am not wrong. It´s not a lot so I will keep it in mind in case I decide I need to be a member.

I agree, that buying a Copper Membership is a legal solution instead of doing illegal things and buy Merit.

But personally, I don't think it's a good solution in long term because all the spam problems couldn't be solved. The bounty hunters just buy an account for around $14 and can start spam and shitposting again. This is no solution at all. Yes it's better than buy Merit, but soon we will have the spam problems again.
The Copper Membership was never designed for Bounty participants, only for project team members to enable posting images.

The Merit must be earned by posting quality posts and not bought indirectly by buying Copper Membership. I we continue so we will soon have armies of Copper Members spamming for bounties. I hope there will be a restriction of buying Copper Member soon or we will have same spam problems as usual.

Let's tame all shitcoins!

seriously, to post more posts per hour, I need to pay money, free of charge at all unreasonably get?

It is very unfortunate, but the sad reality that the forum had to put some controls in place to avoid abuse. You see to have a legit interest in this forum, so once you reach 25 or so activity just ask me for a merit review and I will see if you qualify for a rank up.

I we continues so we will soon have armies of Copper Members spamming for bounties. I hope there will be a restriction of buying Copper Member soon or we will have same spam problems as usual.

The rationale about fees is as follows: While being a Copper Member is cheap, it is not free. You can create one, two or... let´s say five users and post with them, but if you try to create a large number of users and spam the forum with repeated messages it will cost you quite a lot and your users will be mercilessly banned.

 There is a very valid reason to buy a Copper Member in order to setup a campaign or promote a product since you do need images for these.  But with the new rules I think that these users are going to be under particular scrutiny.

As per this post, the cooldown time between posts is as follows:

<…>
Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);
Your current Activity is 14, which makes time between posts down to 360 (I could live with that perfectly well, but people that run a Service or Ann thread may require a better response time). Nevertheless, when your activity gets to 15 (shortly - 25/03/2020 1:33:20 (*)), the wait between posts will be 75 seconds. That should fit anyone who does not spam like mad.
