I’m Tom, creator of ROY.
The ROY app lets people reach out for help, and the app assigns their request to 3 random users who provide anonymous feedback.
It’s a safe, moderated place (i moderate it 24/7), and is helping people get anonymous help and advice.
I built the app using my own small investments on Coinbase. Its a free service and it lets people post however they feel, and get anonymous advice from the anonymous community who already have the ROY application installed. You might ask a question one day, but you might also be one of the 3 random users chosen to help someone on the next day.
With the volatility in Crypto markets, i'm seeing some worry within these forums, and I would love to be able to target the app towards people in need here, as well as a more global marketing campaign too. I'd like to be able to work with a couple of folks who don't mind donating a small amount of their BTC to help me fund some targeted marketing. I can put your name in the app and show you as a contributor.
The app has had some tough questions, such as "My partner is getting more and more violent at home during lockdown, what do i do?" and there's been some good responses to that. The app also directly forwards people to Samaritans, should they require immediate help.
Its becoming quite the community, and i funded it purely with a small BTC investment. not something i could do myself again as i'm not well off, and it was giving me heart attacks at every dip in value, but if people could jump aboard and help me fund a marketing campaign etc, then this can go global.
