I needed for myself. For viewing charts/news from various sites. Now I have made little bit more client-oriented version :-).
You are welcome for testing. No login needed.

example of predifine set:

I will be grateful for feedback/errors/extensions proposals.
Does not work with iframe blocking sites. It can be bypassed but I haven't fought yet because I don't know if to develop it. I personally use just those websites that do not block.

1. Advertise it as splitting the view in browser - which is what this actually does. For splitting the actual screen you don't need 3rd party app.
2. I made a test with https://bitcoinwisdom.io/markets/bitstamp/btcusd and https://bitcoinwisdom.io/markets/bitstamp/btceur ; it has frozen in "loading" mode. I tried to disable script/banner blockers, no use. Without your splitter it works.
3. 1xN and Nx1 layouts may be also useful (but ask from others too, who may actually use your site, I've been only testing).

Edit: I used Chrome for Windows, but I think that you can see that in your logs.

IMHO, you have to consider bypassing that issue or else most users will surely ignore your website by using the "snap feature" on windows...

I will be grateful for feedback/errors/extensions proposals.
- While editing a 3x3 layout, it automatically goes to a 2x2 layout edit page and that does give the wrong impression of the need to retype everything again [I do know that we can still find everything on a 3x3 layout edit page].
- Allow us to adjust the position of each tab/website without the need to go to the layout edit page [front-end, as opposed to back-end].

Hey not all websites such as Google.com and apple.com allow you to load their sites in iFrames because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'sameorigin'. You may want to find a fix for this. Here's a good starting point.
