RenVM just launched their mainnet. Currently, there is only $255974 worth of renBTC minted from bitcoin. Do you think renBTC will gain adoption?

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer electronic cash system, what I mean is a Bitcoin owner who has private key which can access to these BTCs is also the owner of own his/him personal bank; therefore the idea of a Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or Zcash created on the Ethereum network is nothing more than rubbish. The DeFi based on Bitcoin excites me (Bitcoin isn't ready for this atm.), yet I think that a decentralized finance based on Ethereum/or other coins will be inadequate both in terms of infrastructure and decentralization. I do not support any of 1:1 ensured BTCs on different blockchain such as; RenBTC, tBTC or wBTC.

Fair enough. tBTC's botched launch certainly isn't doing Ren any favors.

I am not a fan of projects utilizing the name of btc in any form, perhaps for their own sales, investments or profits, actually the original one is what matters and till btc is up for me i will not be interested anything using name of btc to get attention.
