An Explosion Creates A Crater in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria

Earlier today around 01:00AM, the people living around took to Twitter about a loud explosion which caused many injuries.
The Governor of the State told us that it was a vehicle transporting explosives to a storage facility

I have been briefed by the security chiefs that in the early hours of Saturday March 28th, a vehicle in a convoy transporting explosives to a storage facility in a neighbouring state developed a fault while in transit along the Akure Owo Road about 2km from the Akure Airport. https://t.co/3EnmmQBd1E

I'm not sure this an explosion from a vehicle because there isn't any fragments from any vehicle at the scene.
Could this be a Meteor that hit the earth.

That's a meteorite or debris from space.
Car explosion doesn't dig a hole like that, as the energy from the explosion expands through the easiest way possible, in this case, around it and up.
It would have to be an underground explosion to cause a crater

I do not think an explosion in Akure Nigeria's Ondo State creates a crater  Because it happened in case of an accident or explosion  People can never make a hole like this. Usually, a fire breaks out of the sky when such a hole occurs on the ground. This is called a blast of fire All the cars there will be mixed with the ground.

There are lot of mystery about Ondo,early this year was when thunder struck about 100 cattles, now it is an explosion no one have reason for it. I believe is just a natural disaster.
