in a situation like now many who use it for personal gain, according to the news that there is a majority of fraud in the name of humanitarian care for covid-19, all fraud will hurt the right people will help this problem. we must be more careful about the problem of fraud under the name covid-19
Yes, the conditions are indeed like that, but what we have to understand is that everything done by someone is clear for personal interests and benefits, because now it is very difficult to find money, so some people use different techniques for profit.

Well scammers are smart enough to use the current happenings to use for their way to take advantage others. Its not unusual because whether there's a virus or not this kind of scamming is already existing. Just be careful because in times like this wherein people are in need money to spend, many scammers will do everything to gain even in small ways.

Yes, this is certainly very dangerous for all crypto holders, especially big investors, because they are often the target of scammers at all times, especially at a moment like now, it is very unfortunate if there are new victims of scammers at the time a pandemic like this.

Even if only people restricting themselves from donating randomly to a random website but instead only through verified charity foundation it will easily solve the problem. These scammers known for outsmarting the people who are vulnerable so instead of wasting time people should just do what the government recommends them in term of selecting charity foundation.

Scammers use all kinds of methods to deceive their victims, including utilizing the current crisis situation by opening fake donations to victims. Therefore be careful if you want to donate funds to help victims of the corona virus. Choose a trusted place for donations, because scammers are everywhere. Do not let our funds enjoyed by scammers.

Those fraud schemes were even there since a few years ago. Us, who are aware of this can easily avoid them but the newbies will have a hard time determining for these frauds because they don't have experience or they don't have someone to guide them and tell them which is the fraud and which is not. In these times, it's ok to avoid being greedy too. We're all in need and we want to have profit but being greedy can lead you to become a victim.
That's why they have a community forum like bitcointalk where warnings like what the OP has done is been posted daily and encourage to become a normal practice. Total abstaining from donating online via cryptocurrency is the most effective way to avoid falling victim to these scams or only trust already well established organization like exchanges, wallet providers, gambling sites etc that are organizing this charity donations to assist those protecting us from the virus or affected patient. These scams can't easily be eliminated from the industry since it's an industry built on decentralization, putting the security of our funds in our hands. Every individual becomes responsible for safeguarding their funds and no centralized system to rely on.

it is better to keep the money for self and own family... we don't know exactly where the money we are donating, I think the entire government has spent a lot of money, so we don't need to be a hero anymore if we ourselves still need money in this plague condition.

The pandemic will make us all struggle financially too, so I guess donating is only good if you have enough funds. It's expected that we will see fake charities now, but if we are educated and we know how to verity if the company or the site asking are legitimate, then we should not face any problem.
For me, the best way to offer some help is to just donate in your country to a legal entity that's mission is to help people during this crisis, that way we can ensure that our money is safe and it's spent at the right purpose.
Donating only if anyone has enough funds is not a good approach at this point many smaller countries are struggling with this so it doesn't matter how much one donates every dollar is worth during the times like this so people don't trust anyone with their kind-hearted hard-earned money they can directly donate to the government public measures fund or some nearby organization who do good

You are absolutely right with your article, many fake charity organizations and Ponzi like schemes are out there hunting for people to defraud best like you said is for all to be very careful so as not to fail for scammers. I have seen lots of them and many that even promised huge rewards. I have also seen alot now promising ETH and all. We should be careful this period anyways.

When you talk about how the scammers shouldn't be using this to their advantage because there is so much misery going on and so forth, I am quite flabbergasted because these are scammers, these people steal money from you indirectly, make you give your money to them instead of actually pick pocketing, which means these people have always had immoral ethics and expecting them to behave during a crisis like this means you do not really know them.
I mean if they were people who would care about stuff like this, they would also care about the people who they scam and they would quit doing things like this, but they don't, they might be stealing from a person who has a sick kid and not enough money and invests with the hopes that they might make enough money to cover their sick child's surgery, and yet scammer still takes it without a care, that is what a scammer is.

You do not even need to go far. Just check some of the project that are created about covid19 with the hope of getting money from investors. A lot of individual are coming up with story about donation to support the people without deep information about how money that will be donated will be spent. Which is the reason why we all need to be careful at this moment

Being a member of this kind of community is very beneficial, you will be updated from those existing scams and the new schemes that they are doing to scam people. That's very well said, each of us should have our own precautionary measures to protect ourselves too.

Scammers are everywhere but with this pandemic I guess many will victimize of scams because this is good opportunity for them to earn money easily by faking donations, scam coins like corona coin, selling fake alcohols, over pricing, just like that.

The scammers are using this pandemic and they posted about they have people who needs help they use that like opportunity to them to scan people. Instead of helping people right now I do not know why is the reason they did that.
If you want to help to the people who gets infected by the virus just donate to the legit organization so you can sure that your money will go to the covid19 patients.

There's no denying that this is a wild time that we are currently living in, and during wild times like these people tend to get desperate. Unfortunately desperate people combined with panic create the perfect conditions for scammers. The FBI has officially warned traders that there will be a rise in “cryptocurrency-related fraud schemes”. Here is why using caution is best practice for crypto holders amid Covid-19 scams: https://coins.newbium.com/post/30356-crypto-holders-beware-the-covid-19-scammers Scammers are always active to create panic and trap people for their evil intentions. They are creating FUD and sending emails to many people. Crypto holders needs to be aware and safe their valuable assets from scammers.

Not agreed, majority of the countries government are trying & struggling to provided reliefs for the people's, although some countries are capable to ensured distributing food among all of them people’s. I think in the pandemic we need to donate for neddy people’s but which amount you can afford. A lot of countries are going lockdown for last 2 to 3 months. Donating of money don't think it’s matter of heroism.
