Thank you to all our supporters these past years. While the ySign ICO did not reach its expected amount, our team used the available funding from investors and partners to continue the development of the app and we are pleased to say that we are reaching the finish line! We ask everyone to help us test the ySign app as this is the public beta stage.

Despite the seeming variety of instant messengers, there are practically none for everyday use. The following points must be fulfilled (mandatory minimum):
  • voice
  • text
  • the availability of ready-made assemblies for the main mobile platforms - Android and iOS
  • reliability and stability of work
  • work out of the box and must be free, so that there is mass adoption (no complicated settings, no need to run your own special servers, etc.)
  • no third party control of data and metadata

There are many interesting projects, but there are practically no instant messengers that work stably and are private:
  • Safeswiss is good in all, but it is a centralized system that collects the most detailed user logs
  • Briar is reliable, but there is not and will not be voice communication
  • in Jami and in Element, the reliability of work is low - messages and calls do not pass regularly, even if the interlocutors are obviously online; therefore these systems are suitable, in my opinion, only for experiments
  • Tox is a good idea, I tried it for a long time, but I remember Antox somehow worked, and Antidote was junk, I had to look for alternatives. These applications have not been finalized and are not being developed now.
  • and so on...

You got off to a great start. I am testing the application. Impressions are very good. Basic functionality works stably, and this is very important.

Some questions:
  • will the code be open?
  • what server services are used in the system? (at least certainly exists bootstrap server)
  • how is the delivery of messages ensured if both interlocutors are not online at the same time? It works, and it's great, but not clear how. (through blockchain?)
  • the feedback form on the site does not seem to work 'We were unable to process your request. Please try again later'

Improvement suggestions:
  • self-destructive messages with adjustable deletion time, for example, as done in Safeswiss
  • dark theme
  • upgrade tech descriptions and white paper; some points are out of date and some are not reflected
  • roadmap for 2021-22

disappeared long ago and you are back again with a new thread and new bounty, but after the new bounty campaign is over now you are gone again
even now you delay paying bounty participants for no apparent reason

maybe they postponed the distribution of the bounty by reason of the very high transaction costs at this time, but for some reason they didn't tell it, I was confused by the ySign project team ... without clear information, this will not be liked by many people

if reason is the fees that are too high it still makes sense because most bounties are also postponing it now, but this is different they don't give any reason and I also to telegram they turned out that there was no activity whatsoever and like you said if the project team was not clear
