also governments can easily just invoke their account holder insurance and just give everyone $xxxk and let the banks go bankrupt.

so dont worry too much about 'the economy' because 'the economy' is never really about people buying baked beans at a grocery store 'the economy' is about rich guy/banker profits

i think with 'the economy' already showing its true skin of large debt.. they might aswell accrue as much as they can by spending it on renewable energy and new roads and utilities.. and then get the debt written off

As far as I can see, there hasn't been any economic "collapse". Not yet anyway. And since the green new deal crap hasn't been implemented, one can't say anything about whether or not it would cause any sort of "collapse". Don't know about any "utopian schemes" that have happened either.

There is a Club of Rome (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Club_of_Rome) that has been working on the idea of harmonizing man and nature since 1968.

You can study their research and calculations of the time of extinction of mankind due to environmental pollution and increasing population of the planet. But what is most interesting is that many of their studies show that the problems on Earth begin in 2020.

I think the coronavirus is a driver for the transition from the old consumption economy which leads to pollution to the new (green) economy. But in my opinion, the transition can be very tough for ordinary people.
