Nothing really you could recycle the case and the fans but the hash boards can't do anything other than SHA256 and as such unless you want to mine some other SHA256 coin then they are almost worthless.

I would also not throw them out just yet things could change in the future and those machine may once again have there place on the network.

Back at the second halving there were tons of Antminer S4/S5 that were all sold cheap. I bought a few of them to play around with the firmware. Was able to undervolt it and make it run fairly quiet. Then 6 months later or so I just sold them on Craiglist for $50 or so.

At first I though it was a waste of time because they would never turn a profit and I will get lowballs for $10 however to my surprise they all sold. To avoid headaches I even put a disclaimer saying that these are for hobby use only, they won't turn a profit because they consume more electricity than they make in BTC. People understood and they wanted to buy it anyways.

So for $50 or so, you can probably find a buyer. Just don't expect to get $300 for them.

I am not talking about the selling of machines or mining , Will it be converted into any other source , like the motherboards or any other parts of the S9's can be refurbished ?

A while ago Seth Estrada was trying to get broken ASICs to use them as small cases for GPUs on risers (I guess removing the GPU stock fan), but I think it ended up not being viable or worthwhile.

Also, although it is true that S9s won't be profitable for most of people, it all depends on your electricity price.
People with free electricity will always be able to make money with them. For that reason, I think their value will never go to $0.

The only parts from an Antminer S9 that you can use elsewhere is just the fans. The PSU is also not enclosed so there is no PSU included. With the older miners like the early Avalon or Antminer S2/S4, they had a built in PSU, so you could use those PSUs elsewhere like a computer or another miner.

You can't convert it to anything else, it can only mine SHA256 algo. You cant even do regular password cracking based on SHA256 algo with it. Basically its only value is if you can just sell it to someone else for $50 who will use it as a hobby.

It can't even be used as a space heater because its crazy loud and there is no way you can sleep in the same room as it.

I beg to differ. Phillipma1957 is converting old S9s to space heaters. Ok you have to drop a board or two and change the fans but its possible.
