Just bought myself a new bike worth $80, but kinda of a bit small (I'm on a limited budget, can't afford buying a big one now). A guy like me standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, I don't seem to have a problem with it while riding on the main road (just the side part). It's just that the length of seat adjustment is too small, so I may need to upgrade it tomorrow. This is the only affordable bike I've dealt so far, and the rest are so expensive above $150.
The reason I urgently bought a bike on a budget is because of the strict quarantine implemented in my city starting today until the end of September, in which no public transport is allowed. Not even a backride in a motorcycle is allowed too. I can't simply go out to buy essential goods and services or even doing important transactions by just walking day and night. I don't even have a driver's license yet which I cannot drive a motorbike, and it's really tough to apply now due to the stringent guidelines from the Land Transportation Office and costs and processes are expensive.
No problem so far riding my bike from the shop to downtown, and then downtown to a local eatery where I took a break trying some hot soup before going home.
Do you think this is okay for a guy standing 5 feet 7 inches with this bike? My only purpose of this bike is that I don't have my own transportation and I badly needed it for my daily essential activity due to the strict quarantine measures here in the city (I only relied on public service vehicles back and forth until our mayor issued an executive order that public transportation isn't allowed for the entire September). Ain't doing extreme BMX stuff like that or cycling lots of miles lol.
