How do you think about the ProgPoW?

Recently, I heard about the project named EtherCore, which mainly highlights the source of ProgPoW. 
For me, which is fascinating that it blocks the ASIC users and encourages GPU miners so that the network can prevent the monopoly of the hash power.
I want to listen to how people think whether the ProgPoW is gonna work or not.
