AtomicDEX is true DEX, trades are on chain with atomic swap on native coins.  it provides a light wallet (komodo wallet is electrum server light wallet tech based). It mainly support UTXO coins, but add BNB and ETH recently.   Pros:  coins supported are large, almost all the coins are supported including many bitcoin clones, trading fees are low as KMD and many altcoin transactions fees are low. Cons: liquidity and trading volume is low.    This DEX is mainly for small retail traders.

Thorchain:   another true DEX that support bitcoin litecoin doge ETH and stable coins,  on chain native coin trading, not wrapped coins.  Pro:  native UTXO coins trading including BTC.  this DEX has liquidity and large trading volume.  This should works well for large volume trading.  Con:  on chain tradings,  fees could be large if the trading is on small volume.  Many altcoin small volume retail trading might be better off with AtomicDEX instead.

OP, basically we here have a list of DeFi wallets operating here or out there that we should avoid and they are all total DeFi bullshit.

Unfortunately @bullrun2020bro and @zasad@, not updating their thread, only listing in 2020, but that's not a single excuse, as some DeFi wallets to avoid are below.

Yes unfortunately I have stopped updating my thread as it is impossible to keep track of all these scams. Every day, countless new scams appear. And when I update the list, it's usually already too late, since the funds are already gone.

Especially with cross-chain DEXs like the ones that were mentioned above, the problem is that these providers usually work smoothly at first, only to rug-pull from one day to the other, or lose the funds due to a critical exploit.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict which services will work well in the long run. Therefore, my advice would be not to use any of these services for a long period of time and to verify that they are still working on the official social media channels before each use.

How do you know if it's a real dex or not?

With how different people interpret DEX, it would be difficult to figure out which one is real if you only take claims at face value. AFAIK, if they need an e-mail to login, can freeze your account at any given time, can block you due to IP or address restriction, requires KYC, or limit your trade at any given time then they are likely not decentralized. Obviously there are more things to consider, just remember that not all DEX services are decentralized in nature to some extent.
