My question: did you ever give any crypto to anyone as a gift? What method did you use? Did the person you gave it to had any problems with understanding it?
Yes, and I actually
just posted about it. If you read the post, you'll see that it was a Ballet wallet loaded with some bitcoin that I gave a family member--and I immediately told him about the security issue and recommended that he transfer the funds to another wallet like Electrum.
And OP, I'm sorry but with all the wallets available right now (including very safe ones with open-source code), there's no way in hell I'd use your new online wallet to transfer
any amount of bitcoin. In fact, I wouldn't use an online wallet at all--because there's no need to take that risk. The Ballet was bad enough security-wise, but it was only a small amount of
BTC that I loaded it with, and it made for a nice presentation.
But good luck with your web wallet. I don't think there's much demand for them these days, however.
