Since so many new users are joining DT1 and DT2, there should be some guidelines, how to properly leave a feedback.
Many times I also have left just a "short" ones, but now I see them as a incomplete.
I have an idea to collect the best practices when leaving a feedback.

My first suggestion is regarding the Account Sellers.
Posting only "Account Seller" might be enough for those who are familiar with the rules but most of the time those who try to buy an account have heard that they can make money here and to skip developing an account, especially now with the merit system, just purchase one and have no idea that there are consequences. Most of the time they get scammed too.

So what I think we should be doing is to leave a bit more detailed information in the feedback, not only Account Seller. but Like for instance:
Account buying/selling is not endorsed by the forum and can result in negative feedback on the account. Account sellers are not to be trusted, you are most likely to loose money.

Here is an example of a short feedback - account_seller777:

It'd take me a while to find the thread, but this was discussed by the various people DT and non-DT about three/three and a half years ago (as well as labling alts either those alts that have scammed, or, are simply alts but no scam is apparent).

Quote

I tend to write:

Quote
BCT account seller which causes instability in this forum and in real life.

and usually give a link to their account selling activities.  (I tend to place "BCT" to denote a forum account seller as opposed to a Pay Pal / Twitter / Facebook / Casino etc etc account seller.)

I'd be happy to go back and modify my previous posts with the above if there is consensus on that statement.

One question I would like to pose, is, are we just going to label bitcointalk account sellers, or, other types of accounts such as Facebook account - sellers?  or what about those who it would seem are offering to escrow such transactions?

Feel free to scroll back through my trust feedback on my main alt's page for more account sellers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=131361;page=sent;offset=0

Although it's allowed to buy sell account by forum but discouraged, I'm sure that both buyer and seller knows the risk associated with it. Most of the times account buyers are very familiar with the forum, newbies most likely do not know about the signature campaign even. This is my experience from my local thread. So, such tag would not do much I think.

Still selling and buying accounts in this forum is strictly prohibited even if caught openly will be given a red tag by DT so they sell and the buyer only wants to use the signature if the account is bought and it is flat like that because they want to reach the ranking is difficult so one way for them is to buy accounts from other people.

In my personal opinion its always better to write proper description whenever you are tagging someone. Its just not only important for account sellers but also for other type of scammers. New users have limited knowledge about negative trust and flag.

Few days earlier someone contact  me through telegram and shared a flag link. I was so surprised after hearing his thinking about that flag. He asked me that, Will you please take a look on this user's profile? I want to use his service and seeing that lots of users included you have supported him (flag support). His thinking about flag support was wrong and i helped him by providing information about flag and the meaning of support/oppose. Finally after getting all information he cancelled the deal with that scammer.

After having this experience its pretty much clear to me that newbies have less knowledge about forums Trust, merit and flag. So if we spend some extra time to write the reason of negative trust then i think its gonna help them a lot.

Everyone who is in DT today should understand that by leaving their tag, they are doubly responsible. Since their correct remark in the user's trust should either warn that all connections with a particular account can be dangerous. Or vice versa, by leaving a positive review, they thereby support the one to whom the tag was left.

The most obligatory note is that a reference link must always be left with proof. Simply writing "good person" or vice versa is not correct for members of the DT.

I agree that the review must contain convincing information.

And also everyone who has not yet become a member of the DT should understand that after the expiration of time, it is possible that they can become DT. All previously left reviews will be visible to all forum members. What information will be there? Really loyal and correct, it will reflect on the reputation of the member of the DT who leaves the tag. And also to wonder if this could be called a "breach of trust" in the future.

Writing a short feedback can even be counter-productive especially for those who aren't familiar with the forum and the trust system.
For example, a comment like "account seller" might be interpreted as "this user is a certified account seller" and not as a warning.
I am not very active in tagging scammers but I realized that some of my feedbacks aren't accurate too and I have to revise them.

Another point you can add to op is the importance of adding references whenever possible to support the posted review.

Thank you for clarification and suggestions upon leaving negative feedback on the Bitcointalk account seller/buyer members. I have tagged 3 newbies accounts before due to account selling and this is what I'd leave, "Bitcointalk Account seller, don't trust this user". Upon seeing your post, it should be a proper leaving of negative and should specify the reason for leaving feedback. Probably it's time to revise them with a proper leaving of negative feedback to serve as a warning to others who read the feedback.

Much better if the flag is included altogether with the negative feedback to the scammer's profile, red-tagging alone sounds like aren't convincing.

Like the idea, we should write the proper reason for the feedback on why this person shouldn't be trusted. I have to admit sometimes I wrote short on the feedback especially those are obvious scammers. But to be honest I should write more details. For the account sellers, mostly I write "account sellers aren't to be trusted". I think its almost enough to realize why this person isn't trusted. Anyway, all DT member's opinions and comments wouldn't be the same, so the feedback comment wouldn't same as well.

Details with proper references is always a good option than short line feedbacks. It doesn't mean that you can't use short lines for your feedback but if you think newbies will not gonna get proper meaning from that then its better to write briefly. IMO an user who have already got multiple red trusts and reason is clearly readable from previous feedbacks at that time we can use short sentence there.

I think its almost enough to realize why this person isn't trusted. Anyway, all DT member's opinions and comments wouldn't be the same, so the feedback comment wouldn't same as well.
Most important thing is the purpose of tagging where opinions of writing short or long lines can be different.
