Hey guys;
I have a 6 card rig which is made of 5 280x and one 7950 connected to an asrock h81 pro via usb power riser. Am getting an exclamation point on the 7950 with code 43 notifying me that it can't detect it. I removed the card, uninstalled the driver and reconnected but it came as Microsoft basic adapter. Tried to install the driver to the 7950 by itself but the install update jams and i have to restart it. Tried this
http://www.gobitgo.com/articles/1002/How-to-Mine-with-6-GPU/ but as I said the install update jams. Any ideas how to fix this?
go to device manager display adapters go to the 7950 uninstall and unistall driver and let windows update the driver for you should take a couple minutes. this will only work on windows 8.1 i have 3 of these boards and had same problem windows 8.1 did the trick.
Did try something similar I went to device manager and uninstalled the 7950 and deleted the driver of the graphics card, but if I press search for hardware changes if gives the same thing, the name of the device with an exclamation point beside it. so as a second try I shutdown the pc removed the card and uninstalled and deleted the driver in device manager. shut down the pc and reconnected the graphics card. when I went into the device manager it named it microsoft basic adapter. But I will try to do as you said and let windows update to install the driver. if this doesnt which hopefully it will I will try to install the latest beta driver 14.1 beta as I heard from some that it helped solve their problem. if not
will try install the 12.6 version even though I have a win 8.1 64bit os and the 12.6 supports til windows 7.
