The biggest #Bitcoin transaction in history was sent literally just now!

These large transactions are normally not individuals shifting their coins, but rather large financial institutions that are shifting coins in and out of cold storage. We know PayPal acquired loads of bitcoins lately, so they might even have something to do with this. (Possibly shifting those coins into a more safe storage method)

In any way.... This is not really that significant any way, because large transactions like this has happened a lot of times before, with large exchanges moving funds and even large gambling sites storing coins in cold storage.

Oof, Eighty eight thousands eight hundred fifty seven bitcoins. Although, it's not the biggest transaction ever made. In this one someone transferred 130,004BTC on a single address. Maybe OP's mentioned transaction is the biggest one based on USD.

I am wondering who did this transaction? is this a move from some hackers or a legal trade?

On twitter it says it was Xapo.
