Is This Considered a Rule Violation?

Hello guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this or not.

Today, I reported one of the spammers/scammers. He posted two duplicate threads, one of which has already been deleted, but all of his replies were promoting a scam tool. So I reported all of his posts in hopes they would be removed, or even that his account would get banned.

However, I noticed that the reports I submitted were rated as 'bad' and my accuracy dropped to 95%. Why did this happen?

Does the scam this scammer is promoting not violate the forum rules?

Just know that scam is not moderated, although if a moderator know it is a scam, they often delete it. I guess the report is mistakenly marked as bad.

Do not bother about the report. Good that the person has been given negative tags.

While submitting the reports, I provided them with proof, a link to the scam accusation thread I created about this scammer. I expected that the AI-generated posts he made promoting that tool, which steals seed phrases, would be deleted. But I found the opposite.

In any case, I truly appreciate the efforts of our dear moderators. This was the first time I encountered such a situation usually when I report posts that violate forum rules, they get removed.

Yes, his account is now tagged, and I just hope no member ends up downloading his scam tool and entering their seed phrases into it.

Mistakes happen sometimes as moderators are human, not robots and you know even bots can make faults too.

Moderators are flexibly and individually interpret forum rules so they can make mistakes at this step. A next step is mark your report as good or bad, and perhaps they agreed with your report but mistakenly marked it as bad. I guess this fault possibly happens sometimes even not too often.

I think you don't have to worry to much about your report accuracy as there is nothing like Forum Reporter Badges will be deployed anytime in near future.

It does hurt a little right, haven’t put out some good reports in the past and the what seems obvious to you happens to have been ignored somehow.
Well, like _act_ already said, scams are not moderated except in overwhelming cases. As it is, the project without having to call it out haven’t perpetuated much yet but, the Ann thread is one that makes claims that contradicts the norms in the cryptospace.

I can see the user jumping between it could do this-that and then comes to say it’s just for educational purpose. Clearly don’t know which is it because, I sure shouldn’t get my seeds on educational purpose projects knowing my funds could be lost.

For the score, I wouldn’t care more and a few more good reports would offset that real good.

In the report section, we are expected to only notify the moderator on what we saw and not to bring a suggestion of what they should do, they know their job, so you suggesting that his account would get banned when he is not against the forum rule may be a bad idea on them, moreover, you may not have to consider all of his posts being bad, some may actually be bad and it may not have applied on all, this alone also could drop your accuracy on every post reported.

Your accuracy does not mean you shouldn't report again or painted you bad, you stand to lose or enjoy anything from this, read between the lines of the message appearing on the report menu, that you shouldn't bother about your accuracy.

Yeah it's a violation of the rules and regulations, but it seems that before you report the post other people has reported it, and it's on the point of mod to trash the thread, maybe that's what makes your accuracy to drop...already the user has been tagged as a scammer,  I don't think that nobody would like to give the user audience base on the three tags I saw on it's profile, and we have so many of them that promote scam in this forum we need to flush them out of the forum before they will ruin the forum.

It violate the rules, I think the admins are not okay with mass reports on an exact profile.

Next try, group the whole report under as a comment, the admins now have to go through the post profile and take actions if he does violate the rules in all his posts.

Yeah it's a violation of the rules and regulations, but it seems that before you report the post other people has reported it, and it's on the point of mod to trash the thread, maybe that's what makes your accuracy to drop...

No, scams are not moderated and hence not a direct violation of forum rules.

If there are multiple reports on a post they are all marked as good when an action is taken on that post. This was not the case in this situation.
