Hundreds of millionaires have revealed in a new survey that they have either already invested in bitcoin or are planning to invest in the cryptocurrency in the next couple of years which could be because millionaires do not want to miss out on bitcoin.

Devere Group is a large independent financial advisory firm. The group asked more than 700 of its high net worth clients — those having more than $1 million in investable assets — who currently reside in the U.S., the U.K., Asia, Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, Australasia, and Latin America.

As the survey shows, this impressive performance is drawing the attention of wealthy investors who increasingly understand that digital currencies are the future of money and they don’t want to be left in the past.

Hundreds of a certain demographic isn't a great dataset, and you would probably expect those that take risks i.e most millionaires to be involved in some sort of capacity with a new technology such as Bitcoin. It doesn't necessarily mean that its going to make them millions, or make them anything. Bitcoins limit may well be what we are seeing now, I don't personally think so, but lets just say it was. These millionaires, could have already missed their chance. Besides, I would say in comparison to the early adopters of 2012 they are rather late to the game. Usually, "good" investors are those that have invested before the rally, but there's been multiple rallies of around about this value.

If you've ever listened to a millionaire or read their books, or looked at their investments, they've likely lost millions to be able to earn millions. They aren't always correct on their investments, and they've likely lost more than the average town of people will ever make. I don't want anyone thinking they're missing out, because of this article, and think that "The millionaires are doing it, so I should too!", because that isn't true.

The article doesn’t contain enough to prove the claim is right. The survey was conducted to a limited group of people who may have same interest but that doesn’t necessarily mean all of the same group people would be interested.

I doubt this, maybe the source is not clear, why is it 73%? Where do these numbers come from. How many survey participants?
But, if this data is correct, of course me and the bitcoin community will be very happy because the trust in bitcoin continues to grow. But I also highlight for investors because bitcoin has a very high volatility, so it is necessary to be careful, if only following without management and without knowing the risk is very bad.

According to the OP, its more than 700 participants that are clients of a financial firm. Its unclear from where, what industry they're involved in, and also how successful they are. The data isn't clear at all, and these millionaires could include singers that aren't involved at all in economics, and made their money from performing, and therefore would have no credentials to back up whether their investment is a good idea. Of course, I'm not ruling out that singers don't have knowledge about the industry, and don't make good investments outside of their art, but its worth considering without knowing exactly who was surveyed, it could be rather misleading.

I wouldn't be surprised if the firm themselves are advising these people to invest, and they class that as being interested or "planning too".

There was a thread on the same topic in this same section yesterday (see Survey of Millionaires finds 73% own or want to invest in crypto) …

I doubt this, maybe the source is not clear, why is it 73%? Where do these numbers come from. How many survey participants?
It literally states it in the OP: 700+ participants, and the survey was carried out by Devere Group on its customer base. The conclusions were explained by Nigel Green, the CEO for Devere Group.

Alas, as I stated yesterday:
I’ve been trying to get hold of the survey itself, but it does not seem to be around not on their website. They could anonymize the data and publish their findings in aggregate terms in order to go further than the summarized public declarations. <…>

Since we seemingly cannot see the survey in detail, we can’t asses the claims. Regardless, when one consults their own customer database, we need to be ready for some sort of bias in relation to the general (millionaire) population.

The article says that last year they also conducted this survey to which 68% of millionaires are ready to invest in cryptocurrency within 2 years, I guess the 68% must have started buying already. This year says there are 73% in 2022.  This bullrun will continue up to 2022?

Whoever these millionaires are, they are definitely looking into the future, unlike Warren.

It sounds like a full speculation still.
I mean buying bitcoin in hope to get a big profit in the future without knowing the risk behind will only leading those millionaires into a full speculation investment.
And it is now sounds pretty clear a speculation.
This bitcoin thing has not a place in the mainstream world , that is why i called still sounds like a speculation.

Well with such high percentage of millionaires showing interest in btc I guess by 2022 btc will witness a boom in price like never before, although this is just more like an assumption but from the look of things (I mean the current price hike and all recent major news) it won't come as a surprise,
Btc is gaining recognition by the second, spreading like a wildfire, it just a matter of time this will come to pass.

Yes but you need to read the OP very well for you not to be confused, a survey was carried out on 700 people who currently reside in the U.S., the U.K., Asia, Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, Australasia, and Latin America by questioning them if they will or not invest in bitcoin, that the survey is carried out by Devere Group. But, if you are interested, you can also invest in bitcoin and be part of the presumed millionares if truly you are a millionare and invested.

The interest has been growing for long now, it’s just as I expected. Bitcoin is no longer a new thing to many people, there are lots of people now who knows about Bitcoin, whether they have interest in it or not.

Compared to the past years like in 2015 and 2016, when I mention Bitcoin to people they won’t know what it is then, but now when you talk about it almost everyone knows about it and even if they don’t know about it, they have heard the name for once. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to us that there are so many millionaires that are becoming interested in buying Bitcoin.

But, if this data is correct
It's very unlikely to be correct! There are currently 32,467,107 funded Bitcoin addresses, and there are 46.8 million millionaires on the planet (data from 2019, there are probably a few more in 2020).
Considering the full blocks, it's just not very likely for so many people to start holding Bitcoin the coming 2 years, let alone all of them being millionaires.

According to the OP, its more than 700 participants that are clients of a financial firm. Its unclear from where, what industry they're involved in, and also how successful they are.
This information is given based on the article:
Quote
Devere Group is a large independent financial advisory firm. The group asked more than 700 of its high net worth clients — those having more than $1 million in investable assets — who currently reside in the U.S., the U.K., Asia, Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, Australasia, and Latin America.
You can find about what kind of industry that Devere Group is on their website https://www.devere-group.com/
This is part of the information about the company:
Quote
deVere Group is one of the world's leading independent financial advisory organizations, with more than $10bn under advice from over 80,000 clients in 100 countries.
But Yeah, we cannot see the exact data of the surveyees or the result summary of the surveys. If there is a publication, there may be more convincing. Although it is an anonymous  survey in which we may not be able to see who are the exact surveyees, at least, it should be we can see the summary chart of the data, it may be better
