This might be a recent news or not but the news coming out of the US about Bitcoin is exciting, is this to say that donald trump regime was blocking-off bitcoin adoption in the country, we know he -donald trump- was not the best admirer of bitcoin, I hope joke bidens regime will go in wide contrast against donald trump regime and other countries that looks up to the US can adopt Bitcoin.

Just another real application of bitcoin as payment.
Since the news is in the US.
Ohio allowed paying taxes in bitcoin 2 years ago. Seems good news is coming round and adoption is actually coming.

Hopefully in near future we will have some more things like this for spreading of bitcoin its really good because now big organizations and institutes feeling they have to adopt this all.

At the current time, we have a lot of options where to spend bitcoin. It can be seen that there's an increasing acceptance of bitcoin as payment for retailers, shops, and other business establishments. Although not entirely because there are places that are not yet into bitcoin. But it will come to pass that we will see only a few of them accepts not because they are not yet ready nor aware of it.

this is an example of bitcoin adoption in passport payments. Adoption like this makes bitcoin increasingly known and used by many people. Partnering with coinbase is a good move because coinbase is a suitable platform for handling payments using cryptocurrency.
Other countries may follow, but this is also constrained by regulatory issues that are not the same in each country.

That's good to know the adoption of BTC is growing. Bitcoin is slowly gaining momentum after Paypal's announcement.
This Peninsula Visa & Passport Service is just one. I hope companies from other industries will also follow. US could simply follow what Asian countries by disinfecting their dollar bills since it's also one carrier of the virus to spread.

There's already a related thread created first in an appropriate section too. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5289007.0Much better to continue the discussion there.

No wonder why Bitcoin's price is increasing. Many positive news about crypto keeps popping out of various media platforms hence the gain of investors/buyers and the uplift of Bitcoin's price. Good thing that they slowly implement this in their Flight Payment method as many crypto enthusiasts bother themselves in converting it and withdrawing it on either physical money or sending it to their credit cards, which I guess takes a lot of fees than being a BTC payment transaction. This continuous whales also triggers one negative possibility, that soon, Bitcoin would be back to 10K low price within this year (just my speculation).

I guess it might be handy for a small number of people but as ever no one's going to buy something to buy something so it's only of use to Bitcoiners, and most of them will not want to part with it if they have an alternative.
I think I'd also wind up resenting the passport rather radically ten years down the line when the price is god knows where. At least if you buy some tat with Bitcoin you can burn it or swap it for drugs.

Paying for Bitcoin through a passport will greatly increase the speed of Bitcoin. But if bitcoin transactions are not possible anywhere in the world will cause a lot of problems. Now that the country accepts Bitcoin as a payment the citizenship process becomes much easier. Because Bitcoin transactions are instantaneous, the payments made by the government are much higher which is probably a very short length of time to process your citizenship. Not only can Bitcoin potentially make the process much faster but it makes the process much more anonymous not all countries follow the same procedure.

That's great to hear by the way. Last year, I've renewed my passport which was good for 10 years (let's just hope that COVID won't last 10 years lol). The Philippines hasn't really adopted Bitcoin yet as an alternative payment option (maybe in a few coffee shops in Manila and the Luzon region I believe). I would really love to see the Department of Foreign Affairs finally gonna accept BTC and other cryptos for processing passports here in the Philippines.

partnering with coinbase, This sentence changes a lot of things and means that the crypto companies have gained a degree of confidence so that they cooperate with them where these coins will be sold to obtain the US dollar. It is good for crypto industry, as it will keep away a bad reputation and link to drugs and money laundering, but it means that taxes will be imposed and things are moving towards more centralization.

I've heard and read about this news and in my mind, this is a positive impact for bitcoin industry.
I know that there are a lot of businesses that accepts bitcoin for payment and this is clearly a good model for bitcoin adoption in their country.
Hoping that people will understand how valuable and useful bitcoin is in the economy and every businesses that we invest.
Bitcoin for payment is not that impossible to happen soon when we are more engaged in a digital age.
