Hi!

I use live ledger and usually receive and send btc through segwit. By accident I received from native segwit which worked fine, but I just sent some BTC to someone, the address is right but its been over an hour and its unconfirmed with 0 confirmations.

I've never had trouble with segwit, is native segwit slower or something?

Not sure what to do. The fee was like $1.66.

Thanks.

The network is congested now and that's probably why your transaction hasn't been confirmed yet.
If you are not in hurry, just wait. Your transaction will finally be confirmed. In the worst case, it will probably be confirmed on the weekends.

No, that's not the problem.
Using native segwit addresses, you can even get faster confirmations.

Not sure what to do. The fee was like $1.66.
What determines the priority of transaction to be confirmed isn't the total fee you pay.
What matters is the fee you pay per vbyte.

Thanks, the fee per byte is Fee per byte
39.283 sat/B

I am used to transactions taking like 10-15 minutes, as I just sent from coinbase to my own hard wallet and it only took a few minutes then I sent the same amount from the hard wallet to another address which seems to be taking forever. I guess I should just wait?

What if the address I've sent to isn't native segwit compatible?

So, now your transaction is about 15 mb from the tip. Currently, there are about 35,000 transactions with higher priority than yours.
It's normal that it takes a bit long time to get confirmed.

That transaction got confirmed that fast, because it had been broadcast with a high fee rate. Probably with more than 60 satoshi per vbyte.
And don't worry about your transaction. I expect it to get confirmed in the next 24 hours and in the worst case on the weekends.

What if the address I've sent to isn't native segwit compatible?
Don't worry.
You can send from any BTC address to any BTC address.

Thank you, it has put my mind at ease as the transaction was $200 lol.

Next time use this Mempool tracker : https://mempool.space/ which I found recently when came across the threads like these, so you can find the network traffic rate and what is the current amount of fee required to get our transaction confirmation faster and more efficient.

But when you make transaction from coinbase like wallets you have no choice other than waiting for the transaction to get confirmed because where you can't set your own fee.

This is a fine amount per sats/b to accelerate. Use this free service which is always working for me.

--> https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator

But I guess it should be confirmed by now.

boyptc, it is not disputed that the service works (free version of course), but the transaction can be added successfully only when the full hour occurs and since the limit is 100 transactions per hour, we need to be quite precise for the thing to work.

What is even more important is that the acceleration of the transaction depends on when ViaBTC will find the next block, and this happens on average every 4 hours - at least that was the case when I last checked.

What normally happens to me is that it's always accelerated. I guess other users still don't understand the message that it says below about the minimum sats that it accepts and it could also be that I'm lucky whenever I do it because it's always a success.

What is even more important is that the acceleration of the transaction depends on when ViaBTC will find the next block, and this happens on average every 4 hours - at least that was the case when I last checked.
Usually, when it's a successful acceleration for me, it doesn't go more than 1 hour. Works well for me. But it's applicable that it works for me but not for others.

Our form has a good FREE/PAY BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATOR that helps in such situations.
I myself asked for help in this thread and they helped me speed up my transaction.
