Hi!

I am sorry to open the next such thread. I am fighting for a two weeks now and nothing is going to help.

I have tried it all under windows and linux and on two different laptops. I am so fed up with that grap at the moment. I would like to ...

OK ...

I have ...
* bitcoin core 0.20.1 installed in d:\programme\bitcoin not in prooned mode!
* Block chain in f:\bitcoin
* Armory 0.96.5 installed in d:\programme\ArmoryStandalone

here is my log file:

https://pastebin.com/tcgnsS3e

Armory is configured to run bitcoin core in background
Bitcoin Install dir: D:\programme\Bitcoin\
Bitcoin home dir: F:\bitcoin\

I have read all the posts here.
I have redownloaded the whole block chain
I have tried all suggested solutions here

Armory shows my wallet balance.
In the bottom right corner it says: "Node offline (659749 blocks)"
Some times during startup of armory a baloon tip in the task bar says something like "Connection to bit coin core lost"

It is such a pain and I regred to have armory chosen as my wallet :-(

Can any body help me please?

This usually works for me.

1. In Armory:   Help -> Rebuild and Rescan databases

2. Close Armory.

3. Open Windows Task Manager, make sure any Armory process is not lingering.  (ArmoryDB.exe tends to stay stuck)  Kill those.

4. Re-open Armory.  Wait for it to complete scan and rebuild.

If you still end up in an Offline state, repeat step 2 to 4 (close armory, kill ArmoryDB, re-open armory).   I usually get armory back online after 1-2 tries.

You can also try to open bitcoin core directly when armory is closed (between step 3 & 4), wait for it to sync and close it properly.

That said, it should not happen if you closed Armory correctly.  I end up in this state only if windows crashed or decided to reboot for an update without prior notice...
