Yes, you can mix cards from different series, and different brands together
RX 480 and 5700XT will work

In my rig I have: 1660 super, RTX 3070, RX 5600XT, 5700 and 5700XT, all working together

About your RX 480, is it the 8gb version?
8gb cards can mine ETH, but 4GB no, you'll have to mine another coin like ETC or simply use Nicehash

Yes, you can use mixed GPU in one rig...But the mining speed depends on chipset and RAM of GPU.
Alternatively u can use standalone softwares like nicehash, Awesome Miner for automatic identification of Profitable coins and to Maintain a steady mining performance
