Electrum wallet stuck in a state of synchronizing.

I've been using the Electrum for a long time now with version 4.5.0 and it doesn't sync. Only transactions appear until October 19, 2020. What can I do?

I assume that you're talking about version 4.0.5, not 4.5.0 because it doesn't exist.

Try pressing the bottom right bubble (is it red?), uncheck select server automatically and scroll to find VPS.hsmiths.com:50002, right click and press use as server.

You can also check your internet connection speed if it's good enough. It could be the problem

I think your problem is DNS or you might be accidentally enabled the proxy or TOR.

Check the proxy settings and uncheck all from TOR to the proxy.


Also, set the server to automatic then re-open Electrum then test it again.

If it doesn't solve your issue try to change your internet DNS to Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS.

After changing DNS open the command prompt and type these commands.

ipconfig /renew

ipconfig /flushdns

Do the command flush DNS 3 times then reopen electrum again to test.

If nothing worked, enable "Write logs to file" in the 'Tools->Preferences', restart Electrum.
Then let it run for a minute then go to the data directory and find "logs" folder, there should be a text file there.

See if there's a connection-related error among the last few lines or paste them here (censor the info you don't want to share).
After that, do not forget to disable logging.
