Looks like OP didn't listen to you, Vod...
However, in the meantime this FIO Protocol is supported by quite a lot of "Fio Members", as there are: Coinomi, Bitcoin.com, Enjin Wallet, Shapeshift etc. And of course, it's a wallet-related concept, so in a way, it also involves BTC.
OP posted this almost a year ago, but since then, it seems no other threads where opened on these boards about the Fio Foundation - much to my surprise.
https://fio.foundation/The video on the website is quite childish ("oh my god these long crypto addresses are so scary"), but the concept of "replacing" your wallet address by an easy-to-remember protocol, seems interesting. I see some similarities with the relationship between a website's domain name and its "invisible" IP address.
I need to read more before I decide if I'd want a FIO address, but I think this project at least deserves our attention.
