The fake one have only 500+ download while the original link has 1 million+ download. I have noticed this about fake apps, no much download if compared to the original ones, but making use of official sites for wallet download will still be the best. Anyone that download the fake ones will result to scam.

This is the reason why most of the time I visit their platform first and try to check their download module to make sure I directed to the legit application on my android phone its already give me the legit app mostly if you are trying to check it has a million download, still, there are some users might be scammed/phish by these fake platforms, I tried to check their app and seems few of them give feedback on this app which is good to seek for awareness. Feel sad to those people download this app base on their history it reaches 500+ and 50+ downloads.

Of course, anyone who downloads the fake app will eventually end up scammed. It's a giving. About the genuine app getting more download than the fake app — supposed ignorant folks are downloading it in their great numbers without knowing, it will also cause others to think it's the right app. Normally, before now, I based by assessment on the star rating of any app before downloading it. What people say about the app tells me more about the app. It used to be my yardstick until a veteran member here told my that most times the reviews are bought over. I saw reason in that. Now, look at the first three reviews of the original coinbase app and tell me if you would be moved to download it or not:

There are lots of fake and phishing websites advertised on Google, they take very long to be brought down and pops back up soon after. Finding and reporting them is helpful, but not very efficient and cannot be done quickly enough to prevent users from falling into scams. Whenever you get a fake app like this just don't forget to submit your report to playstore authority. Its nothing new and we have seen multiple cases like this in the past. Basically modern age scammers are much active and now they know bg creating popular platforms fake wallet like this they can easily plant their trap seed on playstore. Actually who don't know the real website of coinbase or just hear about it from social media will just hit the search button and install anything without proper justification. Scammers are targeting them and keeping the app UI exactly same as the real one to make people fool.

If anyone visit the official website and get the Android or IOS app link then it can save them from getting scammed. Thank you for letting us know about it.

So that we can just have one thread for all this fake apps in Google play related to crypto.

And that others can also see and report them as well.

There is a button on the play store but it takes too long to take down the app.
