Nuances of the Karabakh conflict
The Karabakh conflict was reflected in four UN resolutions of 1993 recognizing the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and calling for the withdrawal of all occupying forces. None of these resolutions have been implemented by Armenia, which refuses to comply with these binding resolutions, showing a truly cheesy approach to these resolutions. Armenia believes that the unrecognized Karabakh Republic (Artsakh) is an independent state, and therefore Armenia has nothing to do with it. By the way, Azerbaijan is not at war with Armenia, on the territory of which not a single bomb fell, and not even a single bullet flew, which does not give a reason for Russia to enter the war on the side of its strategic ally, which is Armenia. In general, in this situation, Azerbaijan's war in Karabakh is partly comparable to Russia's war in Chechnya.
Armenia accuses Turkey of helping Azerbaijan militarily, but Armenia is also helping Artsakh, which for an outside observer seems completely identical. And most importantly, non-compliance by Armenia with Security Council resolutions in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter gives Azerbaijan the right to self-defense in order to restore its territorial integrity.
