Try middle east or other third world countries because mostly they don't have any regulations about Cryptocurrencies and openly accepts it. Their centralized authorities either doesn't have any knowledge or doesn't give a damn about it.
But mostly, countries that legalized crypto has always rules, thankfully our country isn't to tight with Crypto, although it lacks services to make purchases in Bitcoin.

We don't need such fighting for bitcoin. You look at bitcoin and you see a digital acceptance on it. We didn't do any fight for it when Facebook started allowing bitcoin related adds back again, we didn't fight for PayPal adoption but just work up to hear it and the latest is Visa on bitcoin. More will come and bitcoin will keep breaking through by itself.

Africa isn't a country it is a continent with different countries, different norms, different religions, different government, different people and beliefs. So imposing Bitcoin as one legal currency in Africa as whole wouldn't be possible without seeking regulations from African Union (AU) and its subsidiaries like (ECOWAS) and several others. The government will still stand against the legalisation because most of the crooks in government don't have the technical know-how to loot through Bitcoin.

Why do we need that, if we can already use bitcoin for many merchants? Yes, some people have to use payment processors and others have to sell their bitcoins for Fiat to survive on Bitcoin alone.... but we find innovative ways to bypass government restrictions.  Wink

A lot of people have tried to create small sovereign Bitcoin countries and islands and it all failed, because land is precious and governments needs power over citizens to receive taxes for their own salaries.... so they will never allow that.  Angry

I know Japan are the leader in the world, when it comes to allowing people to use Bitcoin as a payment option/currency... so they are slowly coming around to allowing Bitcoin as a currency.  Roll Eyes
Exactly, governments are never going to allow this and even if a way was found to do this you can be sure they are going to think that as a threat that they need to destroy and whoever lives there is going to become a target, so it is better to follow the greatest strength of bitcoin and simply use bitcoin whenever we want and encourage business to adopt it and make sure that slowly but surely the adoption keeps growing, it is slow but it is the safest path for bitcoin to succeed.

Lol which island do you want to fly to, and when you get to that island, let’s imagine that it is a very big lost island that is situated in a secret location, maybe at the ocean, where are you going to get the internet to make use of Bitcoin? Anywhere you run to you’re not going to be out of the sight of the government, they are always going to locate.

And imagine that you go there and the next thing law enforcement agencies are there to fish y’all out lol. The thing is, just make use of Bitcoin, you have that freedom, nobody is stopping you as long as it’s not declared illegal in your country.

Be it Africa or anywhere, it still belongs to a government, and since it belongs to a government, it means they can still dictate the terms and conditions on which they will probably recognise or adopt any cryptocurrencies; this is just how the government works in order to ensure they are in charge of their nations. However, I believe it is quite possible for many countries to adopt Bitcoin but it will not come easy most especially the aspect that Bitcoin is totally out of the control of anyone, Nevertheless as time goes on and many platforms keeps adopting it, the government will come to terms to look for a way to accept it.

I think it will become possible if one country could accept bitcoin and make it legal. It means government will accept and adopt bitcoin too because every country has it's own government. It's difficult because government doesn't want a decentralized currency but I still hoping that it will happen in the future.

It will be troublesome, to be completely forthright, we can't do this on a nation or country scale. This thought as I would see it is a trial economy. Like how they are making Special Economic Zone where they practice these sorts of thoughts like Universal Basic Income. It should pass in the test stage to see its reasonability yet at the present time, I think the odds are as yet practically nothing.
