I have a friend residing in Austria, he is having an interest in purchasing some good amount of Bitcoin with his debit card, but he never wanted to undergo any KYC process.

Is there any non-custodial Bitcoin wallets (not exchange) that supports buying Bitcoin with debit cards?

Even using Credit or Debit card to purchase, that means you have already provided some verification before your payment can be successful. The best way you can do is to use decentralized exchanges like localcryptos, hodlhodl or bisq exchange, you can also make use of mycelium local trader. And, if you still want to make use of exchanges that will require Credit or Debit card, they are kyc exchanges like binance and coinbase.

I don't think you can find such wallet that support non kycd verification before purchasing Bitcoin with card, all transactions that requires purchasing of Bitcoin with debit card needs to must have completed KYC, so therefore your request is outrageous.

You can possibly tell your friend to pass kyc before buying Bitcoin with his debit card on any reputable wallets or exchange, that would be cool.

Indeed, now it is almost impossible to buy cryptocurrency without verifying your identity. Perhaps such services are available on the Darknet network or on dubious exchangers, but I would not advise you to buy cryptocurrency there. There's no such way to buy Bitcoin with debit card without KYC. Only in USA you can buy Bitcoin with debit card and just need verifying phone number (less KYC) [1]

Maybe he should make use of DEX , that would be the best option for him, there are so many of them like Paxful. Or he can try P2P trading, that will even be much better, as he’s not going to bother about KYC since it is going to be a face to face trading.

There are so many P2P exchanges where I live and they have offices where you can walk in ,and you can go to these exchanges and make payment to them through bank and give them your address to send the money. But if he still wants to buy through a wallet, then he should try Bitpay wallet.

I would suggest your friend to use a wallet that does ask for KYC , see there are wallets , there are even p2p transactions that can be done but at the end of the day I think you have to understand that there is more security in the wallets who do demand KYC.

Wallets which doesn't ask for your KYC they don't really have much deeper security basis since in Austria it's not banned to actually use bitcoins and therefore if he is doing everything legally then it should be actually ok.

But when you are doing p2p trading you have to very careful you can even find people all around the forum willing to trade , at the same time you can even do trading for cash. There are a lot of options.

Thats the only option if you don't want to under Go in any KYC find a seller that will accept your payment option and need a 3rd party to secure your both transaction which is an escrow .
If you know you can trust an exchange with your identity why not under go in their KYC rules instead .this will make it easier for your friend to buy crypto any time he want.

That doesn't make since, there are platforms who doesn't required kyc but still secured/fair in case of disputes, website's security, user friendly (some), etc.

Yet there are lots of platform/exchanges ask kyc yet get hacked, unfair disputes, selling user's personal data and so on.

In case of op's friend, I guess p2p such localcryptos, bisq is much suited for him/er, he just need more knowledge how p2p works.
