Although i have been very close on both a Linux and Windows environment i have never quite successfully compiled a QT wallet for Android.

Has anyone had any luck with there own Altcoin compiling a QT wallet for Android devices?

I am totally willing to help other make a really easy way to do this i.e once we find a working way i can make a script to automate it so we can all have a nice and quick way to automate creating a coin, generating an android QT App, white label AltCoin Web Admin/Portal, RPC WebAdmin etc like mySQL has PHPMYAdmin we could have like a blockchain RPC WebMin kinda service and would love to be the first to build it Tongue

It has been a while since this post, just wondering if you ever managed to cross-compile a qt wallet for android? I am currently looking into similar options, so would be good to hear from someone with more experience.

In this old thread, you have to create a new one for your question. OP never online since a year ago, he can't moderate his thread.

QT wallet for android needs more resourcing, at least need storage over a hundred gigabytes, more core and ram. Impossible for the developer to create a QT wallet for android. the solution is only remote, android possible to do that with a remote desktop with QT wallet or use ssh.

Hi blue Snow, thank you for your response regarding the other user's activity on this board. I responded here instead of a new thread as I wished to contact with someone who offered a more collaborative educational approach, rather than someone who would simply build it for me for X amount of BTC, as I seen in many of the other threads.

In regards to the second part of the statement. I understand your point of view about running a full node qt wallet on android (particularly for older devices), however, for two reasons I disagree.

1) I already successfully run a full node altcoin wallet on an arm based single board pc with limited resources (single core low energy processor, <2GB ram, with expandable sd storage).
2) my present phone (approx. 3yrs old) runs a much faster quad core cpu, with 6gb of ram and over a 100GB of storage.

In any case, I would not recommend running a full qt wallet for something like BTC on a phone. However, many altcoin blockchains I am following take up less than 5GB of storage at present, so having a standalone full wallet would be ideal for these.
