Hi all,
I'm extremely new to mining and decided to start using my rtx 3080 during downtime to mine some Ethereum. I started with phoenixminer and had everything running great for the past 4 days. I decided to update my Nvidia drivers since they stated their were critical security flaws in the current. After updating phoenix miner no longer works. I click on start_miner and it just says "access is denied". Im using sparkpool for my pool and mycrypto for wallet. I have tried everything from changing pools completely to changing to a secondary wallet address and even rolling back my drivers. Nothing is working. Does anyone have some insight or help for this? Its very discouraging just getting into this to have no idea how to fix it?
Thanks

Have you searched the specific error online?

Have you tried to run the miner as an administrator/superuser? Can you clarify what OS you're using (Windows, Linux, or mac).

If you're on Windows you can also look at uninstalling a driver without removing it and then it'll reinstall itself fresh on the next restart.

I have searched online and only found 2 post after hours and they did not solve my issue. One saying that virus protection removes the phoenixminer.exe which that was not a problem and the other said they did a fresh install of windows, but I'm not ready to try that yet. I am on windows 10 and have tried running as admin and still does not work. I also tried T-rex miner and get the same error no matter what pool is in the .bat. I will try the uninstall driver route and see if that fixes it. If not I am stumped completely. Thank your for the suggestion.

I'm guessing that some files from the miner is missing, the only way those files can go missing is if you are using antivirus on your computer which is no advisable as a miner because it will get in your way sooner or later

You can keep your windows 10 as it is if you are doing some other things on your PC like browsing or online jobs and buy a pen drive for hiveOS, flash the mining OS on the pen drive and start mining from the pen drive, if you don't want to mine them remove the pen drive and system will boot the windows 10 OS, mind you hiveOS is more stable than many others most especially that windows 10

Did you resolve this? I'm in the exact same position as yourself. I haven't managed to find a solution yet...

Resolved. Turned off AV and MalwareBytes and re-downloaded the file from here. All seems to be working. Hope this helps someone!
