Hello,
I will tell you about my bad experience with HITBTC where I have loosed all my money when they had locked my account with no reason.
First I have bought an amount of ethereum from a seller that I know, he sent me the amount in my account in HITBTC, I have received the amount, I have exchanged it to bitcoin In HITBTC, next thing I see is that my account is blocked I can’t do any transaction with my account.
I have contacted the support to solve the issue, they asked me to give them my identity and my picture, I sent to them a picture of me holding my passport, they asked me to give them prove of address, I sent to them a picture of that proof, next thing they ask is the payment of the amount received in ethereum; I sent to them screenshots of my PayPal account with the transactions done to pay the seller of ethereum.
After that they demand me to give them the seller identity, I have asked him to give to me because that’s important, he accepted and he sent to me his document identity, I sent to them all documents needed, after that they demanded to give them a paper from a notary to prove that the operation was done in a legal way, I have gone to a notary with the seller, we provided to him all documents and proofs demanded so he can give us a paper to prove that the operation was done in a legal way.
I sent to HITBTC the document signed by the notary, next thing they ask me to give them the authorization to practice to prove that the notary was authorized by the state, i have sent to HITBTC the authorization.
Next thing after that they asked me about the original source of the amount received, I have told them that it was received in many transaction that the seller has given me screenshots of, I sent all this information to HITBTC support, they said that’s alright, everything is good; one last step before unlocking your account is a skype video call, I sent to them my skype account, we’ve fixed a date to the video call, I received the call, I have responded to all theirs questions, I have showed my passport and my face was clear, at the end of the skype video call they told me that they will contact me soon.
The next message I receive from them is that they will not unlock my account and there is no solution to get my account back.
This is my story with HITBTC platform, they took all my money.

Your story makes me sad and angry at the same time. I'm very sorry for what you've gone through.

I honestly don't know how to be of any help to you. You've already done too much for them. You've provided way more than enough proof of your identity, address, transaction, and so on.

Perhaps you might receive a different kind of response if you raise the same concern to them in another platform. Aside from their email, they also have Telegram, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and so on. Try to communicate with them through all these platforms and see if they will provide you with a different response.

Just be careful to communicate only with their official accounts.

This is a pretty bad thing because not only did OP got locked out of his/her account, OP also got his/her identity and data being collected for the supposed KYC. With all the identification that OP have provided, I think that this is a clear scam for me. We can't really help OP, all we could do is comfort him/her and tell her not to fall for the same trick twice. I don't think that contacting them on other social media platform will be enough because as stated in OP is that they will not unlock OP's account. Regarding the verification, there is a sudden prevalence of locked account that is needing identification out of nowhere, this is a blatant identity theft and data selling in my opinion.

To OP, move this to Scam Accusations board to make it in a proper board, there are a lot of users there that can help you in solitude. And if you ever communicated with their other official accounts, be careful not giving them any form of payment because you are just talking and appealing for your account, there should be no money or identification (with all those hurdles you have been through) involved.

<...>

It'll be better if you'll provide the email that has been sent to you by the HitBtc team saying that they will not unlock your account after doing all the demands they asked from you. If your story is true, then it is not fair and they should be punished in a way it is fair as well. I don't use Hitbtc since they also locked my account (luckily I only have a few bucks their)

Whenever I log in, it'll say that it needs the Code from 2FA security, and then I asked for their help to unlock my account by disabling the 2FA security and they said my account has no 2FA. I don't know what to believe anymore. They need to improve their customer service.

This is something new. These exchanges have different ways of dealing its customers. Hitbtc being one of the exchange with good volume and more listings getting into such kind of activity is really a shame. Going through scam accusations it is quite evident to see a lot of accusations against Hitbtc. Once again you can also create a scam accusation.

You've gone through all those things just so they can say that your account can't be unlocked? Are you sure you are talking to real HitBTC support? Maybe you can file a legal case if you are really talking to real HitBTC support.

One thing that can also help you here is posting it on Twitter tagging their social account. Ask friends to retweet it. Post it here so we can help.

EDIT: You might have accidentally reposted it OP https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5311679.0;topicseen

Damn.... It's clear if hitbtc was scamming your money. I have a very small amount of ethereum that is still getting locked into my hitbtc account and i was unable to solve my problem and it gets locked forever too.
HITBTC is always suspecting the senders with so many transactions as the suspicious address and then they will be locking your account.
A bunch of complaints on its tele group. This is a garbage exchange

The earlier people believe that HitBTC is a scam exchange, the safer the assets will be from getting scammed by them. I have read what OP went through and one can clearly conclude that the KYC thing is just bullshit. They are just looking for a way of stealing a user's funds.

That's very sad and sorry about what you've gone through. After all the demanded documents and even the proof that the notary is authorized by your government. It is the first time to see and know someone that had to go through with that document.

Hitbtc's thread is also full of complaints like this. I don't think that they'll ever change and must be avoided at all times. Check most of it on the last pages, they were the recent ones.

You would really be complying all of those necessary documents no matter what it is since you do know that you do have money get stucked into an exchange or basically a significant amount.

People will really be ending up on following on whats been instructed but the worst here is that they do still held of those funds in spite of complying it out completely which do really sucks.

HitBTC had been known on lots of issues back in the past and im quite surprised that they are still operating until this very moment.People should really be at least on making up some

research first before making any deposits into a certain exchange.Always know if they have recent or past issues about funds being held or some other headaces so that you would
able to avoid it while its still early.

That being said if HITBTC is not only stealing the funds but this exchange site was also stealing the identity that already uploaded by the users that got blocked by them all.
This exchange site is not worthy to be used by people again. People should move to the another exchange site. There's no way for him to get their money back again.
I got fucked with this garbage exchange site too.

Unfortunately for you, I also don't know what to say more about cases like these on the forum. Perhaps people are also helping you to understand why you have encountered this, ignore it as a valuable lesson, and choose for yourself a reputable deal.

He has no choice but to comply whichever paper or document that they are asking because his funds were stuck on them. That's why it's hard to push a withdrawal if you'll just ignore them and this is applicable to all exchanges that suddenly asks for a KYC.

But Hitbtc did it to the next level, they asked for I think, unnecessary documents if OP has already provided them some docs to prove KYC. And the legitimacy of it has also been asked through his friends compliance and cooperation. That's really a next level of compliance.

i saw the OP made some threads about the outpouring of its rights by hibtc, apart from this incident i will stop using the hitbtc crap exchange, everything has been followed to verify their doubts but why the result is so disappointing ... so uncivilized.
