So, everyone is probably aware of r/wallstreetbets , CMC and their WallStreetBets (WSB). While browsing altcoin section I noticed ANN thread called Wall Street Bets token, in which user @Vlad.Sas is advertising WSBC coin and asking people to buy it.

Thing is, I couldn't find any connections to r/wallstreetbets subreddit, and few claims are questionable, like this one below where Vlad.Sas claims that WSBC tokens are available on wallstreetbets website, but I personally couldn't find it there.

You can buy WSBC from the official page at https://wallstreetbets.com

Then speculation about Elon retweeting WSBC, and we all know what would happen in that case.
Elon, will probably tweet the official page: https://twitter.com/WallStrBetsCoin or the website itself. Thx for being one of us! keep up the good work bro!

No. But that's what I think about (almost) all of all announcements in Announcements (Altcoins) and Tokens (Altcoins). All these coins and tokens are created to make the creator rich, and get money out of gullible and greedy fools.

Just for fun: search for the word disrupt on those boards, and see what happened to those projects.

it’s just another hype and an attempt to get some benefit out of the current trend. Just remember UNIswap giveaway, two months after new UNI airdrop pages were born almost daily.
As I know, WallStreetBets only have well known Reddit channel and one Twitter account. His Discord channel is deleted. But there is a bunch of impersonators who's want to make some money from the current situation.
For example, I am invited (just added) to a few Discord and Telegram pump signals groups named something similar like WSB. I see there is a lot of people invited.
One of them is a group with 200k members https://t.me/Wall_Bets_Street
I guess there is no need to say whats happened there, few of them will early buy some coin, the bump will be for sure when they announce on a group of 200k people. They will sell on time and make a profit, while all others will buy high and will be happy if they stay in positive.

True, investment in one of those is so risky that they might as well be in Investor-based games board, but this is a bit different case as I couldn't find any connections to wallstreetbets and I wasn't sure is this just another joke like in CMC case or a real attempt. Then again, why make a website and actual token if it's just a joke?

For example, I am invited (just added) to a few Discord and Telegram pump signals groups named something similar like WSB. I see there is a lot of people invited.

I heard for those and it's not a surprise that they started showing up and same goes for SWB coins/tokens as that's what scammers usually do, trying to exploit whatever is popular at the moment. Just looking at that group you linked, they reached max number so fast that they had to create 2nd group. Craziness.

I see it more like a pretty bad joke, trying to mimic some of the other topics like this that had some success (when we talk about merit)

But if he would have left the actual links on how to buy this crap it would have been ok, just one more nutcase, if indeed you can buy this s** then it's indeed questionable behavior.

I agree with stompix that this is just a bad joke ... and as I understand it, among other things, calling himself "Autist" Vlad.Sas emphasizes that this is nothing more than a joke, (as the community WSB has its own humorous jargon in which this word is present). Anyone who has heard about WSB or visited the subreddit has seen the basic rule, and I don't think anyone from the huge WSB community will step on this ridiculous rake. For this to work, scammers will first have to buy a domain [wallstreetbets.com] that probably costs $200k or more right now.

That's not entirely true ... as I said, coinmarketcap just expressed solidarity, (in the sense that almost all traffic came from Musk, not CMC). And in the community WSB one of the main rules is to "no stocks with market caps below $ 1 billion, no crypto" which once again confirms that it was a gesture of solidarity.

I agree with stompix that this is just a bad joke ... and as I understand it, among other things, calling himself "Autist"

I'd advise to avoid this autist. Vlad Sas is the owner of a Romanian centralized exchange, active from time to time in the Romanian board; and, when active, he posts just ridiculous things. In my opinion is a totally untrustworthy person. I tried to have a few rational debates with him inside the Romanian board, but without any luck ([1], [2]).

Without having to know Romanian, I asked him in those topics to admit that he decided to run that exchange only from greed, in order to get himself rich. He was saying that he is a big fan of Bitcoin and that's why he started a centralized exchange.

I asked him, if he is such a big fan, why does he act against Bitcoin, by launching another centralized exchange, which is just an act against the decentralized nature of Bitcoin. I told him that people would appreciate him more if he was honest and just say: "Okay, I did it for getting myself rich!". But no, the guy started to praise the benefits (which existed only inside his ill brain) of centralized exchanges, no matter what I (and others) told him, in order to prove the disaster brought by such exchanges to Bitcoin. He was saying that "without us (centralized exchanges), BTC would have been transacted only on forums and among friends". I even quoted him the words of Satoshi, placed just next to its words, in order to see how ridiculous he is:

Quote
Without us (centralized exchanges), BTC would have been transacted only on forums and among friends || What is needed is an electronic payment system based on cryptographic proof instead of trust, allowing any two willing parties to transact directly with each other without the need for a trusted third party.

Without us (centralized exchanges), BTC would have been transacted only on forums and among friends || The public can see that someone is sending an amount to someone else, but without information linking the transaction to anyone.

Without us (centralized exchanges), BTC would have been transacted only on forums and among friends || I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party.

Without us (centralized exchanges), BTC would have been transacted only on forums and among friends || With e-currency based on cryptographic proof, without the need to trust a third party middleman, money can be secure and transactions effortless.

All in all, the man makes ridiculous allegations and is totally untrustworthy. I strongly advise to ignore him, no matter what he says.

I didn't know that, then maybe we should just watch their actions and if in the near future they add WSBcoin then there will be a completely different conversation. If you remember, a similar case happened with Toilet Paper Token (April joke), when the Yobit exchange fraudulently offered to buy this shit.
It seems to me that calling him autistic, you complimented him ...

oO I was not aware Yobit did that... I mean, I know (apparently I thought I knew) the Yobit story, but I knew how they encouraged the spamming of the forum, not also the part related to TP. I know CoinMarketCap made that joke, but I almost can't believe someone thought to put it in practice. Even harder to imagine is that someone was fooled to buy TP from them... Amazing!

But still... let's not forget the story of Useless Ethereum Token. But at least those guys were honest (the rest of the page also is worth reading, at least for the lulz):

Quote
You're going to give some random person on the internet money, and they're going to take it and go buy stuff with it. Probably electronics, to be honest. Maybe even a big-screen television.

Seriously, don't buy these tokens.

It seems to me that calling him autistic, you complimented him ...

Lol, I doubt he'll appreciate, but who knows?! Smiley

Later edit: if anyone is interested to see if Vlad Sas listed the joke named WSB coin, just check on the exchange's website: https://ro.exchange. Apparently, so far he didn't do it; and, for the sake of the users, let's hope he won't do it in the future.
