Others got mislead here thinking it's about another company supporting bitcoin in general. Not because Mastercard announced the support on crypto, it means
BITCOIN will be considered.
Mastercard says that it's only going to support cryptocurrencies that meet a number of requirements such including stability, privacy, and compliance with money laundering laws.
linkBitcoin doesn't fit that criteria or I don't even know what crypto do have a characterictics like that. More on, this company just go with the flow. I don't see this a big news. As what they say,
"it’s hard to be both decentralized and regulated".
